On many occasions it is difficult to understand the launch policy of Xiaomi. Internally they should be very clear, but they certainly sow great confusion among users and professionals in the sector. The great mystery no longer lies only in discussing whether the number of launches is excessive or it is not, since we also face the minimal differences that some models sometimes have compared to others. Today we wanted to take the Mi Note 10 and the Mi Note 10 Pro as examples.
The pace of launches may be due to a demand that may be consistent. In addition, Xiaomi has seems to have a strategy focused on covering virtually any price range between 100 and 500 euros.
Hence, sometimes the technical differences between one model and the next in price are minimal. This policy generates frustration in many users who see how their new brand new Xiaomi is quickly outperformed by a model that comes out a few months later at the same price.

The good news also, is that a portoflio so dynamic in which new models are constantly added, it does not take long to reduce the models already present in the market and that are some months old. Two of Xiaomi’s latest releases are the Mi Note 10 and the Mi Note 10 Pro.
The number of lenses
We are facing two terminals because Xiaomi tells us, but on paper it seems the same terminal with different versions of memory (as usual) and a very slight technical difference that the bulk of users, like Xiaomi, will ignore.
The Mi Note 10 Pro has a total of 8 lenses on its main sensor, a small difference, which a priori allows you to capture more light and achieve better results in low light conditions. The standard Mi Note 10 has the same powerful sensor and a total of 7 lenses.
The difference is not even reflected by Xiaomi on the official device description website. It is possible that this is because this small difference can be saved at the software level so that both terminals achieve very similar results, if not practically identical, although this aspect should be checked in one of our classic photographic comparisons before taking it As something absolute.
Memory also changes
The second difference is found in the memories, since while the Mi Note 10 has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, the Mi Note 10 Pro reaches 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory.
These technical differences are very common and we see them in terminals with the same name, but in the case at hand, with two twin terminals and separated by half a minute at birth, we do not understand to what extent it is enough to justify the name change with in order to be marketed as two independent models.
And the prices?
The price is the last big difference between both terminals. Specifically a difference of 100 euros, since the Mi Note 10 costs 549 euros , while the new Mi Note 10 Pro reaches 649 euros. For these 100 euros of difference the user must decide which memory configuration convinces him most, and if that extra lens is enough or not, to be done with one model or another.
