A problem that seemed relegated to the past in terms of memory, has reappeared in the notification bar of Xiaomi users . With the significant increase in memory that we have experienced in recent years and with the help of the cloud, this seemed that it will not appear again on our phones, although we were wrong.
Although we try not to fill the phone with photos, videos or applications, if you have a mobile with the MIUI layer, you may have surprisingly come across this message. This is what has happened to a group of users where memory does not stop growing , where most of them are being filled with junk and temporary files that are not removed as easily as we would like. That is why even if you don’t have too many files or apps on your mobile, we could have seen the memory full message appear, which affects the performance of the device.
An update multiplies the problem of Xiaomi
It is not a novelty that Xiaomi terminals accumulate “waste” in the system through the “Others” section. We have seen this on occasion, but nevertheless now the problem we are facing grows exponentially as it increases rapidly and we cannot solve it as we have been doing. In case the insufficient memory message has appeared on our smartphone or we want to check if the problem is not affecting, we have to enter Settings> About the phone> Storage. Here we will see everything that we are dealing with in applications, images, audios, videos, system and finally that confusing section called “Others”.
In case that section of memory does not reach 5 GB, we could say that we do not have the problem although it can also be very big, but MIUI seems to need it to work well. However, by overcoming that barrier and reaching its 6, 7 or even 8 GB or more, we are suffering from the problem and we have to take action on the matter.
How can we recover the “Others” space?
The first thing we should do to get that annoying extra memory stop giving us performance problems due to memory collapse, is to make use of the MIUI tool called Security. It is an app that is on all phones with MIUI, whether they are Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco, they come by default and allow us to touch their memory cleaner to easily get rid of everything that is not necessary.
But since this problem comes from an update, most of the memory failure will not be solved with this alone and we will have to do the following that we explain:
- We enter the File Manager app that our mobile also has.
- Inside, we touch at the top on the folder.
- We continue to pass on MIUI.
- Then we access “debut_log”.
- We delete the files we find.
Nothing will happen to delete them since they are temporary elements of the system. In this way, when re-consulting the space occupied by the others folder, we will see how now, the difference is greater. We hope that with another update it will finish solving this situation, although until then we will be in charge of doing this cleaning whenever it is necessary.
