Low-cost operators capture many of the eyes of those who seek to hire a new rate, looking, above all, for a lower price. Among the options that users shuffle, we always usually find two cards to play, such as Lowi and Finetwork . The first, the virtual Vodafone, offers several options to have fiber and mobile at the best price. The second offers very attractive prices with the advantage of also contracting with Vodafone as Finetwork’s fiber and 4G coverage network.
For this reason, we have faced the convergent proposal of both operators that converge on many points to try to help you make the decision. By having the same fixed and mobile coverage, the decision must be made for other aspects, be it the price, the gigs we have on the mobile to navigate, the possibility of accumulating gigs or the speed of fiber optics to surf the Internet.
Fiber and mobile coverage: a technical tie
As we have already advanced, we are facing a technical draw. This is because both use Vodafone’s fixed and mobile networks to offer fiber and 4G to their customers. The first does so because it is a part of the red operator and the second by virtue of a wholesale access agreement.
In fiber optics, the Vodafone network has 11,301,930 accesses , being 7,565,799 of HFC cable and 3,736,131 of FTTH according to the figures published by the National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC) at the end of 2020 In addition, thanks to different agreements, the fiber footprint on which it can offer its services exceeds 20 million homes easily.

In mobile coverage, Vodafone is one of the best networks (or the best according to the study we take as a reference) in Spain. Coverage, according to Lowi’s official website, reaches 99.99% of the population, although without specifying technology. With 4G it exceeds 90% of the population without problems , although neither of the two operators has access to the 25 cities with 5G coverage that Vodafone currently has.
Fiber speed
This section drinks directly from the previous one in terms of what the two operators offer. By having the same coverage and using the same technology, in HFC zones we will have asymmetric speeds and in FTTH zones symmetrical speeds, that is, we will have the same download and upload speed.
At Lowi we have the option of hiring 100, 300 or 600 Mbps of speed. For its part, those same speeds of 100, 300 or 600 Mbps are those that Finetwork offers us. The big difference is in the mobile rate associated with each of the speeds.
Mobile data
Here the first differences begin. Lowi has two data options, one that is linked to the 100 Mbps mode and the other two to the 300 and 600 Mbps modes . For its part, at Finetwork we have more options with two 6GB lines, two 12GB lines, or a line with 24, 25 or 35GB to navigate. These are the combinations of both operators:
Lowi
- 100 Mbps + unlimited calls + 25GB
- 300 Mbps + unlimited calls + 30GB
- 600 Mbps + unlimited calls + 30GB
Finetwork
- 2 mobile lines with unlimited calls + 6GB
- 2 mobile lines with unlimited calls + 12GB
- Unlimited calls + 24GB
- Unlimited calls + 25GB
- Unlimited calls + 35GB

Permanence
Finetwork does not impose any type of permanence commitment, beyond the obligation to return the router when we unsubscribe so as not to incur a penalty. Lowi will install the fiber for us for free in exchange for keeping the contract active for a quarter to avoid the penalty. The same thing happens with the router.
Price and monthly fees
Now that we know the advantages and disadvantages of each of them, it is time to see the monthly prices that we will have to pay.
Lowi
- 100 Mbps + unlimited calls + 25GB for 34.95 euros
- 300 Mbps + unlimited calls + 30GB for 39.95 euros
- 600 Mbps + unlimited calls + 30GB for 44.95 euros
Finetwork
- 100 Mbps fiber + 2 mobile lines with unlimited calls + 6GB for 34.70 euros per month
- Fiber 300 Mbps + 2 mobile lines with unlimited calls + 12GB for 39.90 euros per month
- Fiber 300 Mbps + Unlimited calls + 24GB for 34.90 euros per month
- Fiber 600 Mbps + Unlimited calls + 25GB for 39.90 euros per month
- Fiber 600 Mbps + Unlimited calls + 35GB for 44.90 euros per month
Other things to keep in mind
Both operators allow you to accumulate gigs for the following month and share them with other clients of the operator. Lowi’s additional lines start at € 2.95 for 5GB, € 5.95 for 15GB or € 9.95 for 25GB depending on the main line. At Finetwork we have Rakuten TV Subscription, Legálitas Medical and Legal Protection included.

Regarding promotions for this summer, Lowi is giving us a 60GB voucher to navigate while the Finetwork gift will be 99GB. In both cases, this data will be consumed first and then we will spend the bonus of our rate.
