What virus warnings reach Windows and how to activate them
The first thing we need to do is make sure that we have notifications related to the installed antivirus activated . To do this we just have to open the Windows Configuration application through the Win + I key combination. Once here we are in the System / Notifications and actions section. From the list of elements that appears then we will have to locate the so-called Security and maintenance, which we activate.
On many occasions we come across messages and notifications sent by the programs that we have installed on the system. The truth is that many of them do not give us practically anything in our work with the computer. But what we should not ignore are certain warnings that could come to us from the installed antivirus. To begin with, we will tell you that these can reach us when we are downloading a malicious file to our computer from the Internet browser.
If the security solution detects that this file is not trustworthy, it immediately stops the download and sends us a notification as a security warning. The most advisable thing here is to stop said download and look for another alternative. Something similar can happen when we connect some type of external storage device to our PC. We refer to flash drives or USB hard drives that are sometimes full of malware. These security warnings should not be ignored either, although the first thing to do is to disconnect that device.
These security messages can also reach us when opening a compressed file with malicious files, or when we enter a website of dubious origin. It is clear that in order to protect our computer and its corresponding saved data from viruses, we should not ignore these security messages that suddenly arrive under any circumstances.
