One of the strengths of the AirPods is their comfort, sometimes you are able to forget that you are wearing them in your ears, and much of the blame for this comfort is given by the size of them, which can lead us to at certain times it is relatively easy to lose them or leave them forgotten somewhere, and in those moments, you have to know what are the steps to follow to find them quickly. Here we tell you how.
What do you need to find your AirPods?
The first thing you need is to have another Apple device, which will normally be the device that your AirPods were connected to, unless you are using them with an Android device.

Well, if this device to which they were connected is an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, you must have the “Find my …” option activated to be able to exercise this same function with your AirPods.
When does “Find my AirPods” work?

To be able to use this function, as we have commented previously, we need to have “Find my …” active on our iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with which we have linked our AirPods. Also, the AirPods have to be close to the device in question.
If the AirPods are not within range of any of your devices, are not charged, or are in their charging case, the “Find my AirPods” feature will show you the time and location of their last connection.
Steps to follow to locate them

To find our AirPods we have several options, which we list below.
See the AirPods on the map
In the event that we want to visualize our lost AirPods on a map we can do it in two different ways.
On the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
- Open the “Search” app.
- Select the “Devices” tab.
- Choose your AirPods.
In the computer
- Go to iCloud.com.
- Sign in with your Apple ID.
- Open “Find my iPhone”.
- Click on “All Devices” and then your AirPods.
Play a sound
If the AirPods are near one of our devices and they are connected by Bluetooth, we can make them emit a sound to find them more quickly. For this we have to:
- Open the “Search” app.
- Select the “Devices” tab.
- Choose your AirPods.
- Press “Play sound”.
What if the AirPods are disconnected?
Now what happens if the AirPods are disconnected? First, if you didn’t turn on “Find my AirPods” before losing them, we won’t have this option available to locate them.
If the message “No location has been found” appears, we will not be able to choose the option to play a sound to be able to find them, but to obtain the location of the last connection, something that can give us many clues as to where we have lost our headphones. In addition, if the AirPods are back online, we will receive a notification on the device with which we usually use them.
How much do AirPods replacements cost?
If finally, we are unlucky enough to lose our AirPods, we may consider acquiring the headset that we have lost. In that case, it is sure to be very useful to know the price that you are going to have to pay for each of the problems.

In the case of AirPods:
- AirPods: 75 euros each earbud.
- Charging case: 65 euros.
- Wireless charging case: 85 euros.

In the case of AirPods Pro:
- AirPods Pro: 99 euros each earbud.
- Wireless charging case: 109 euros.
What to do if they have not been found
If the moment comes when we have no hope of being able to find our, or our AirPods, the only option we have left is to report the loss of these devices to the relevant authorities so that, in case someone finds them and delivers them , these can communicate it to you and, after verifying that they are your property, you can recover them.
