JLab has a new accessory that is capable of turning any type of glasses into an Amazon Echo Frame or Bose Frames . For this, it has two modules that are attached to the temples of the glasses and thanks to its Bluetooth connectivity you can send and play any type of audio through its integrated speakers.

Beyond the classic headphones, whether in-ear, over-ear, etc., there are other types of personal devices that allow you to listen to music or any other type of audio wherever you go. One of these are bone conduction headphones , although recently other proposals such as Amazon Echo Frames or Bose Frames have become popular.
These last two solutions are, let’s say, glasses with an integrated audio system that connects to the mobile device or not through a Bluetooth connection. And although they are something very particular, it must be admitted that it has its point of interest and certain advantages over traditional headphones.
First of all, you are not “blocking” your ears and you can continue to listen normally to everything around you . However, they also give you the option to enjoy music, podcasts, etc., without excessively disturbing those around you.
And secondly, by not having the ear continuously occupied with headphones, the feeling of comfort is much greater throughout the day. Although here it is clear that it will depend a lot on each type of user and how they tolerate the continued use of this type of accessories.
Well, with all this in mind, JLab has launched a new device called JBuds Frames , two modules with Bluetooth connectivity that are attached to the temples of any type of glasses to turn them into solutions such as those mentioned above from Amazon or Bose. Of course, with the advantage that you can use your favorite glasses, which includes everything from glasses to sunglasses.
The latter is important, because many users use prescription glasses to solve problems such as myopia or astigmatism. So if they wanted to have a solution of this type and did not see how by not being able to give up said graduation, then they already have the solution.
The negative part is that logically on an aesthetic level you will not be in front of the most attractive option on the market. After all, it is a module with relatively generous dimensions that will attract attention, in addition to the additional weight that could make it somewhat uncomfortable. The latter should not happen, but again it will depend a lot on each one.
Personal and affordable audio
Putting aside the aesthetic issue, these JBuds include 16mm speakers that according to the manufacturer offer a very satisfactory sound experience for the user and the music will not be heard by those around . Or in theory you would have to pay close attention to really hear what is playing. This is achieved by directing the sound towards the user’s ear and not projecting it in an omnidirectional way as other solutions sometimes do.
In addition, it has IPX4 protection so that in the case of doing sports with them, do not fear because they get a little sweat or even some water if it is a rainy day. Detail that is frankly appreciated if you are thinking of being able to use them to do sports without affecting or reducing your safety when doing certain outdoor activities.
With all this, the JBuds Frames will be launched in early spring 2021 and will be priced at approximately € 60 . It is not a bad price if this type of accessories convinces you or if you simply want to try them out of curiosity. Of course, if you are looking for the opposite, sound quality and isolate yourself from outside noise, if you don’t mind that they are also generous in size, the best option is the Bose QC Earbuds.
