iOS 14.3

With the release of this first beta of the next version of the iPhone system, some of the new features announced with the iPhone 12 and other interesting features have been given the green light. Here is a summary:

  • ProRAW support. This new photography format that will be released by the new iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max is already present in this beta. What it does mainly is help reduce noise and adjust the exposure frames.
  • News in Health. The application dedicated to taking care of people’s health has incorporated a new functionality dedicated to women’s pregnancy.
  • New search engine. Ecosia can now be added as a new default search engine, accompanying others such as Google, Bing or Yahoo.
  • Air quality. In some countries, the air quality of cities can be checked based on pollution.
  • Arrival of Fitness +. There are several indications that Apple’s new training service could arrive with this version.
  • Support for new controls. This version adds support for the new PlayStation5 controller and Amazon’s Luna video game service.
  • Third-party app suggestions. It is said that in some countries Apple will add suggestions for third-party applications depending on the legality of that country. It is not yet known exactly how this will work.

AirPods Studio and AirTags almost revealed

The Search application has also added improvements and new features in terms of integration of search accessories, also having support for AirTags. Therefore, this could be further proof of the existence of this product, as we already saw in iOS 13. An imminent launch of accessories is not expected, but after being discarded in these events it is evident that there is less and less.

A new AirPods Studio icon has also appeared in the beta code, being one never seen before and revealing a design that is not exactly the same as what was leaked from the hand of Jon Prosser a few months ago, but it is looks a lot like. It is nothing more than an icon as we say, but it is also evidence that sooner rather than later these headphones will be a reality.

When will this version arrive?

At the moment this beta for developers is just that, a beta created as always so that application creators and testers can measure the performance of their services on the iPhone. There aren’t a number of betas set for launch, but considering that iOS 14.2 was recently released we shouldn’t expect this iOS 14.3 until December at the earliest. In any case, we will continue to inform about each version in order to see news not seen in this first contact.
