If we want to be as objective as possible to know which is better, we must look at the technical specifications. But the truth is that sometimes we have seen how a team that has better hardware has given a worse result than another that has lower quality hardware. Photographic aspect

If we compare both teams physically, we can find one of the big differences in the back: the camera system. While the iPhone 11 bets on a double camera, the Huawei P40 bets on three different cameras. It is true that in the main camera we can be struck by the difference between the Mpx: 12 on the iPhone and 50 on the Huawei . This data, although important, is also not decisive, with the software of each device playing an important role beyond the hardware. In this regard, Huawei has a tough fight against the iPhone and the result varies greatly depending on the conditions in which we find ourselves. The iPhone 11 already includes the night mode so this is not a differentiating aspect between both teams, as it was in the past.

The rest of the cameras are very similar, including both wide angle and ultra wide angle lenses to have a greater field of view when capturing a photograph or video. In the latter, we can stop for a few seconds to check that the recording quality that we are going to have with both devices is extremely similar, reaching 4K 60 fps. The difference may lie in slow motion recording where Huawei always goes one step further, but the truth is that this is not a ‘protagonist’ or determining function.

Huawei P40

It is in the front camera that there may be a difference in technology. This lies in the presence of facial recognition, Face ID, on the iPhone, which is much better than the one included in Huawei, which is more committed to the footprint under the screen. In addition to granting us this technology for Face ID, it also gives us several characteristics to take very creative selfies. In this case, video recording is also very similar in quality on both devices, with differences in the quality of stabilization and sound.

Operating system and connectivity

The operating system is one of the big problems that the Huawei P40 can have when buying it. Although it has Android 10 , Google services cannot be installed or certain applications can be downloaded normally through the Play Store. It is true that Huawei is working on the App Gallery, but applications such as Google Maps, YouTube and many others are missing.

In the case of the iPhone with iOS 13 as the basis if you can enjoy all these applications although it does not have Android nor does it have the Play Store. Through the App Store we can safely download applications such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Google Maps or YouTube without doing strange tricks.

This is a point that is often overlooked but the truth is that it is tremendously important. If a user who is not an experiment takes this mobile, he will have many problems, and seeing the price that the target audience has, he will present this problem in his majority. That is why iOS in this case may be a better option.

Autonomy and connectivity

In both teams we find some batteries that are going to grant us a good autonomy although obviously it will depend on the use we give it. If we make normal use we can easily reach the end of the day left over and we could even go two days without going through the charger. Both teams also have the ability to do a quick charge, although Huawei is much better in this field.

This is seen simply by opening the box of the device, since a 40W charger is included with the Huawei P40 . Meanwhile, in the case of the iPhone 11 the 5W charger continues to be maintained, being an abysmal difference with the charging method of Huawei. This makes charging our Huawei much faster than that of the iPhone.

Another of the strong aspects of this Huawei P40 undoubtedly lies in its connectivity. It includes 5G, something that is already being standardized by the different mobiles of the competition but still on the iPhone has not been seen. But the truth is that today it is difficult to take advantage of this advantage due to the lack of infrastructure.
