Huawei: How to Hide Lock Screen Notifications

The notifications of our mobile are essential to know everything that happens. There are dozens of applications that have something to tell us, and these notices are vital to be aware. However, there are notifications that may be more or less sensitive to the view of third parties. Our privacy must come first , and it is not the same that our mobile shows a notification with information about a game update, that a WhatsApp message or email.

Huawei Hide Lock Screen Notifications

Either because we leave the mobile somewhere, or because of those prying eyes that look where they do not have to look, it may make us uncomfortable that our Huawei shows notifications and their content every time one arrives. Depending on the applications installed and our activity index, there may be dozens and dozens of notifications that arrive per day. The best way to control our privacy is to hide this content until we have unlocked the mobile.

How to hide notifications

In order to avoid indiscretions, we will have to enter the Settings of our mobile and go to the “Notifications” section . Once inside, we will click on the option “Lock screen notifications”. At that moment, a pop-up window will open with the three options that we will have at our disposal. Each one of them is focused on taking care of this privacy more or less, since we have an intermediate term that may be interesting to more than one.

  • Show : all notifications are displayed including the content on the lock screen.
  • Do not show : it is the option that may interest us the most, since it does not show any notification on the lock screen.
  • Show but hide content: this can be another interesting option, since it allows you to know from which application the notification has come, but without showing its content.

Block all notifications from an app

The most extreme method is to completely hide the notifications of a specific application, blocking access to it. We can do it from the previous screen, where the list of installed applications is displayed, including those of the system. We will only have to select the desired application and click on “No” so that its notifications do not appear in any way. This means that we will have to manually enter said app to see the news or new messages, since the mobile will avoid notifications. We will have to retrace our steps to re-enable these notifications.
