Huawei‘s mobiles integrate various technologies aimed at improving the user experience. Sometimes these functions are not as visible as they should be and go unnoticed by many users. One of them is Huawei Histen, which allows to improve and enhance the sound of the Chinese company’s mobiles.
Many users download third-party applications when they do not agree with the sound quality or want to enhance it. Keep in mind that there will never be a miraculous software that does the impossible and of course, we must have headphones that offer a minimum quality.
There are options aimed at improving the sound of the speakers, but when we put the headphones on, we want the highest quality. Some Huawei phones have Huawei Histen technology , which can be activated from the sound options and that allow us to modify the sound quality to improve it.
How to activate the function
This option is activated differently in EMUI 10 than in previous versions. Previously it was inside Sounds, but in the new version we will have to enter Settings / Sounds and vibration / Sound effects of Huawei Histen, as you see in the screenshot that is just below. If this option does not appear on your Huawei mobile, it is that it does not support the technology.
Four options available
Once inside we will see several sound options that we can activate to start this function.
- Automatic : automatically detects the type of audio we are listening to automatically optimize the sound.
- 3D Audio – Manage to simulate the depth of field of 3D sound to deliver an immersive experience. It is the best option when we are watching movies from the mobile.
- Natural : Achieve the most natural sound in every situation, prioritizing the pure parameters of the original audio.
- Standard : Allows you to save energy to prolong the playing time.
Headphone type
This is another of the Huawei Histen options. It is a sub-menu focused on further improving sound quality . To do this, we will provide information to the device about the type of headphones we have on. In this sense, we will be able to select both headphones of all kinds, such as in-ear, earplug or headband.
Finally, a selection of Huawei headphones is included to be able to select in case we have any of their models. The more precise we are in this regard, the better this technology can improve the quality of the sound.
