Huawei Brings HarmonyOS to Its Older Phones

After Huawei officially announced the latest version of HarmonyOS on June 2, the company released the largest update plan in its history. However, even being one of the largest, there were many mobiles that were left out. Now the brand announces the arrival of software to its older smartphones.

The new Huawei operating system will reach more than 100 mobiles before the second half of next year. Among all these devices we have Huawei and Honor phones, tablets, smart screens and much more. But right now there is a new batch of company phones available to apply the HarmonyOS update.

HarmonyOS reaches more Huawei and Honor phones

Now a dozen phones of the firm are receiving the update but, as expected, it is important to note that it is the internal beta of the Chinese ROM. However, this opens the doors to the landing of the new software update in the global models that appear in the following list:

  • Huawei P20
  • Huawei Mate 10
  • Huawei P20 Pro
  • Huawei Mate 10 Pro
  • Huawei nova 5i
  • Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design
  • Huawei nova 4
  • Huawei Mate RS Porsche Design
  • Huawei nova 4e
  • Honor X10
  • Honor 30S
  • Honor X10 Max
  • Honor 30 Youth Edition
  • Honor Play4

The most curious thing is that we ourselves would doubt whether to update the phone. Many of the phones that appear above are prior to the US blockade of Huawei , so they run Android normally and have all Google services on them. This leads us to think … Would you keep an outdated mobile but with all the advantages that Google offers, or would you install HarmonyOS without them, but with more functions and security patches?

If you have any of the phones that appear on these lines, in its Chinese version, you can register to test the HarmonyOS beta from the Huawei support application, accessing the beta program. Logically, if your smartphone has been purchased in Europe, this option will not appear, at least until the brand deploys its beta program globally.

So far, 69 Huawei and Honor models and more than 25 million devices already have the operating system update and if we add these new Huawei phones compatible with HarmonyOS, it is quite easy for the brand to fulfill its purpose of updating almost its entire catalog to mid 2022.
