All Android phones have a function that few take advantage of beyond the basic functions, we refer to the classic copy and paste. Although this is very useful, we can get much more out of it if we use the clipboard of Android phones. You may be wondering where this option is located since it is not a specific application or an option in the settings.
Without having to install anything on the mobile we will be able to use the clipboard on Android , this will allow us to save different texts or links for when we are going to need it. The main function is to save time on Android, since we will not have to worry about not copying two texts in a row and that the first one is deleted.
Where is the clipboard on Android
As strange as it may seem, this is not in the system itself and depends on the keyboard we use. By default in most smartphones we find Gboard or SwiftKey and in them we will be able to take advantage of it in a very similar way. If you use another alternative keyboard that we have downloaded, it is likely that we do not have this option and that is why we recommend using the traditional ones and changing the keyboard on Android to take advantage of it.
Use the Gboard clipboard
The first one that we are going to know is the one that comes by default in almost all smartphones with stock Android and without customization layer, but also in Xiaomi, Realme or Motorola terminals, among others. To start using it, we only have to go to a conversation, a note or an app where we can write. Once we write what we want to copy to the mobile clipboard , we just have to activate the clipboard by touching the icon that we mark in the image.
Once we are inside the clipboard we will be able to touch on the copied text and fix it on the clipboard . As you can see, it is very easy to save something to the clipboard, but we can also do it with the option of the upper pencil. When we do not want to keep saving it, we just have to touch the clipboard again, the specific text and click delete.
Use the SwiftKey clipboard
Next is the SwiftKey keyboard, which also has a clipboard on Samsung phones and many other brands. This allows us not to have to install anything else and take advantage of the clipboard in the same way.
To use it we will have to write a text, copy it and touch the option that appears just above the keyboard. This will take us to the clipboard on the mobile , where just by touching the side pin it will be saved forever. Tapping on manage we will have access to everything we have on the clipboard and to delete it we just have to slide the text to one side.
