The various Artificial Intelligence initiatives from major technology companies are gaining significant traction. One prominent example is Bing AI, developed by Microsoft, which is gradually expanding beyond Edge to other browsers like Google Chrome.
Recently, Microsoft started rolling out Bing AI for Google Chrome users and is also planning to introduce it to Apple‘s Safari browser in the near future. Some users have already noticed this deployment happening gradually on their computers, granting them access to Bing’s Artificial Intelligence within Chrome.
The integration of Bing AI into Chrome and Safari is initiated through a pop-up window within Windows, providing users with access to the Bing platform from Google’s software. It’s worth noting that Bing AI is one of the most widely-used AI systems, powered by ChatGPT-4, an advanced language model.
Microsoft originally introduced Bing AI to Edge users in February, acknowledging the widespread usage of Google Chrome in the market. As a result, they have now started expanding the compatibility of their AI to other popular browsers like Chrome and Safari.
You can use Bing’s AI in Chrome
A new pop-up window will soon appear on the Windows taskbar, giving users the opportunity to test Bing’s Artificial Intelligence within Google software. Notably, this interface will also feature a native dark mode for a visually appealing experience.
In terms of design, Microsoft has kept the Bing logo blue to maintain consistency, while the other icons and buttons will be in white or blue. However, it’s essential to mention that this dark mode for Bing’s AI on Google Chrome has only been made available to select users for now. Nevertheless, it is expected to roll out to all Chrome users in the coming days or weeks.
In addition to the visual changes, significant improvements are being introduced, including a new function that allows users to interact with Bing more swiftly for searches. Unlike ChatGPT, which lacks a search engine or web browsing capability, Bing’s AI is entirely built on this premise. Its main objective is to extract data from various websites and provide concise answers.
With this enhancement, Bing will exhibit more human-like responses, bridging the gap between its AI and ChatGPT’s conversational capabilities.
