In this new function, any user will be able to create a short video using a comment shared on any publication. However, for those who run their own channels and regularly post videos, they will not have control over these Shorts generated from comments on their posts.
In essence, content creators will not have a selector to restrict the creation of these short videos by others. If this function eventually rolls out to everyone, the only way to prevent it would be to configure their account to disallow comments on specific content. Furthermore, the video creators themselves will not receive notifications when Shorts are created from comments on their posts.
