The evolution of Android and Samsung’s One UI customization layer has made it possible for us to have a very interesting option on mobiles, we are talking about split screen . This option allows us to use more than one app at a time, taking advantage of the larger size of the smartphone screens and the many multimedia contents that are available.
This method is valid for anyone with a Samsung mobile and a version of Android 8.0 Oreo or higher, so practically on any smartphone you can do it. It also does not matter if we have a smartphone from the entry range, mid-range or high-end because they all have enough capacity to see two apps at once and take advantage of this function.
Use two apps at the same time on Samsung
In order to use the two applications that we want and that are compatible with the split screen method in Samsung , we do not have to activate anything. We are only going to follow the following steps that we also show you in images:
- First we tap on the multitasking button or we make the gesture.
- Next we will see all the recent apps from where we will touch the upper logo.
- All the options that we are going to choose “Open in split screen view” will be displayed.
We must remember that this function is not available in any application, although among the most popular there will be no problems. We can find it on Spotify, YouTube, Twitter, the calculator or WhatsApp, as well as the One UI settings. Finally we just have to choose another compatible app and use both at the same time, which will give us very wide options and possibilities to use it as if it were a computer with two windows at the same time.
Adjust the size of windows on Samsung
To further enhance the experience, we can resize the windows that we are using simultaneously on the Samsung mobile. We will do this from the thin central line that appears between both apps, with the need to make a single movement up or down so that it stays to our liking.
To get out of any of the split screen mode of these applications we only have to interact with it and then touch the central button or the back button. In addition, with the central line we can also slide up to the top or down and we have only one application on the smartphone screen.
