Hackers have a certain predilection for stealing Instagram accounts. They usually try to steal your login details and later ask for some sort of ransom if you want to get your account back. Do not access these blackmails, we are going to tell you how to solve the hack and recover your account.
If someone else gains access to your account or if you can’t log in to your account, you have several options to try to recover your Instagram account.

If your Instagram password has been stolen
If you have only tried to log in and you have discovered that you cannot, since when you enter the username and password you get the message “Your password is not correct. Check it again”, you are in the best possible case.

In essence, if someone has managed to find your Instagram password and they have changed it, it is similar to the fact that you yourself have forgotten your password and precisely according to these steps we are going to try to recover it. At the end of the day, you would still be in control of the email that that social network account is associated with.
To retrieve your password, click on the button (app) or link (web) « Have you forgotten your password? «. This will open a menu in which it will ask us precisely for our associated email, account name or phone number.
In these cases, the app will send a recovery email to our email account. Once inside the message, we will click on a box that says “Enter as” and our username. This will take us to an Instagram window with the name of our user and where we will have to choose a new password . Once done, we will be able to enter our account without problems.
If they have also changed the email
The worst possible case of Instagram hacking is where not only the password has been taken and you have been deprived of access, but also the data of the assigned email has been changed , depriving you of having the main recovery path. Fortunately, although the process is somewhat more tedious, it may be successfully resolved in your favor.

First of all, you should be attentive to the email that you had associated. When there is a change in these data, the application sends an email alerting that this change has occurred and reporting the old email and the new address. You may be able to undo this change by selecting cancel the change in that message.
In order not to fall for a double hack and get caught in some kind of phishing scam, this alert email should be sent by security@email.instagram.com . If the email address is not that, it is not a legitimate email from Instagram and therefore you should not click on any link.
This warning message will give us the first step to be able to revert these changes. We will be told that if it wasn’t us and we experienced unauthorized access, try to secure our account. Follow the steps in this form, which should have a URL starting with https://instagram.com/accounts/disavow/.
Ultimately, to help confirm that the account belongs to you, you can request that an access link be sent to your email address or phone number (if one of the details has not already been changed). To request an access link:
- On the login screen, tap Get Help. (Android) or Forgot your password? (iPhones).
- Enter the username, email address, or phone number associated with the account, then tap Next. Note: If you don’t know the username, email address, or phone number associated with your account, tap Need more help? below the Next button and follow the instructions on the screen.
- Select your email address or phone number, then tap Send access link.
- Click the access link in the email or text message (SMS) and follow the instructions on the screen.
If you ask for help in connection with an account in which there are photos of you, you will be asked to take a video selfie in which you turn your head in various directions so that it can be verified that you are a real person and confirm your identity .
