If someone else gains access to your account or if you can’t log in to your account, you have several options to try to recover your Instagram account.
If your Instagram password has been stolen
If you have only tried to log in and you have discovered that you cannot, since when you enter the username and password you get the message “Your password is not correct. Check it again”, you are in the best possible case.
In essence, if someone has managed to find your Instagram password and they have changed it, it is similar to the fact that you yourself have forgotten your password and precisely according to these steps we are going to try to recover it. To retrieve your password, click on the button (app) or link (web) « Have you forgotten your password? «. This will open a menu in which it will ask us precisely for our associated email, account name or phone number.
In these cases, the app will send a recovery email to our email account. Once inside the message, we will click on a box that says “Enter as” and our username. If they have also changed the email

In order not to fall for a double hack and get caught in some kind of phishing scam, this alert email should be sent by security@email.instagram.com . If the email address is not that, it is not a legitimate email from Instagram and therefore you should not click on any link.
This warning message will give us the first step to be able to revert these changes. We will be told that if it wasn’t us and we experienced unauthorized access, try to secure our account. Follow the steps in this form, which should have a URL starting with https://instagram.com/accounts/disavow/.

If you ask for help in connection with an account in which there are photos of you, you will be asked to take a video selfie in which you turn your head in various directions so that it can be verified that you are a real person and confirm your identity .
