Weeks after its launch, the OnePlus 8T continues to be fine-tuned to offer the best performance, as this model’s integration of Android 11 with OxygenOS 11 does not seem to have sat very well in all aspects. Although it is a very well prepared mobile and with a price that makes it recommended on several occasions, we can run into problems and bugs that spoil the experience.
In several cases we have the possibility to fix these problems of the OnePlus 8T or at least camouflage them with alternative solutions until it is time for a new system update to finish repairing it. Regarding the characteristics of the OnePlus 8T few buts we can put it, although in software above all, the problems have caused its forum to be filled with complaints.
The OnePlus 8T does not recognize the fingerprint
We have repeatedly said that fingerprint recognition is one of the safest methods that we can choose in the protection of mobile phones, although in the case of the OnePlus 8T it is not. Users have complained that fingerprint recognition does not work on the 8T and they have to be forced to use other alternatives such as face unlock or PIN.
To try to fix it, we will only be left as other users have done, go into Settings> Security and choose other unlocking systems. OnePlus already knows the problem and has stated that in future updates it will be solved. We must also never bear in mind that the problem may come for the following reasons that we are going to list:
- The screen protector is very thick.
- Our fingers are wet.
- We have not saved all the finger positions.
The OnePlus 8T’s camera is full of problems
The photographic equipment that gives life to the OnePlus 8T is apparently very well prepared with a 48 Mpx main sensor signed by Sony, a secondary one as a 16 Mpx wide angle and another 2 Mpx black and white or the 5 Mpx macro. Ahead we do not forget the 16 Mpx in the selfie camera. However, the problems have centered on the camera app and the performance of the lenses, where the bugs are directly related to the OxygenOS 11 software.
Portrait mode takes desaturated photos
Thanks to the images that users have shared in the forum, we can see first-hand the result of one of the most commented errors of the OnePlus 8T . As we can see, when using the portrait mode of the OnePlus 8T that does a kind of X2 zoom to get the image to focus on people or other elements, the saturation of the camera changes completely. The OnePlus 8T charges very slowly
Although this model integrates the 65W fast charge known as Warp Charge, this model has problems charging the OnePlus 8T properly. Some users have been doing tests and in the forums they have shared images where we can see that the charge is made at a lower voltage during the entire charge. The moderators of the OnePlus forum have admitted the problem, stating that in future updates it would be fixed, although since this comment new versions of software have been released and have not finished fixing.
As a remodeling, we will only have to do a Wipe Cache in OnePlus to fix the battery, which on so many occasions has saved us from specific failures linked to Oxygen OS. We also recommend that you do not use your mobile while charging or waiting takes even longer.
