“If you turn off interest-based ads, the apps will not use your ad ID to build ad profiles or to show you interest-based ads on this device. The Ads ID is an identifier that can be used to create profiles or advertise to you based on your interests, and you have the option to reset it. “

Tap the “Deactivate” button to complete the process. Whenever you want or regret it, you can follow the same steps to activate it again.

Devices with Ads

Amazon offers its own devices with or without ads in the case of some models such as the Kindle or Amazon Fire, the e-reader or tablets. You can choose the option of special offers on your Fire or Kindle or without them and we will usually see a difference in the price: if you accept special offers you will see that the product is cheaper than without them. There are no offers when browsing or when reading books but they are shown in the screensaver when it is in sleep mode or on the lock screen. In the case of the Kindle e-reader they will appear when they are in sleep mode and not when you are in full reading. On Fire tablets, offers and promotions appear on the lock screen. It is not particularly annoying but it should be taken into account when buying the device since once purchased we cannot choose to deactivate the advertising. Generally, the price difference is usually around 10 euros to 20 euros.
