How to create a personalized training plan in Apple Fitness+?

To get started, ensure that your iPhone is running the latest iOS 17, and your Apple Watch is updated to watchOS 10. Once your devices are up to date, follow these steps to create your customized training plan:

  1. Open the Fitness app on your iPhone or iPad and tap on the Fitness+ button located at the bottom center of the screen.
  2. In the “Personalized training” section, select “Create your plan.”
  3. Choose your weekly workout schedule, indicating the number of days you’d like to exercise and the total daily workout time.
  4. Specify the duration of your entire plan.
  5. Select the types of activities you want to include in your plan.

Now, you can fine-tune your plan by selecting specific activities for each day of the week. Additionally, you can customize other preferences, such as your preferred trainers and workout music.

  1. At the top, you can set the start date for your plan.
  2. When you’re satisfied with your selections, tap “Create plan.”

Your personalized training plan is now created and will be displayed at the top of the screen. You can review your plan, rename it, and check your upcoming classes at any time.

Creating Multiple Custom Plans Simultaneously in Apple Fitness+

Currently, the option to create more than one custom training plan simultaneously is not available. However, it’s possible that Apple may introduce this feature in the future. As of now, you can only create one custom training plan.

Imagine the possibilities if you could have multiple training plans—for instance, a “core and kickboxing” plan alongside another plan focusing on meditation and yoga. You might even want to create both individual and shared training plans, allowing you to work out with friends or family. While this feature isn’t available at the moment, Apple might consider adding it in the future, expanding the versatility of the Fitness+ app.

Apple’s Ongoing Commitment to Health and Well-being

Apple is steadfastly committed to enhancing health, well-being, and physical activity through its array of devices and services. Since its launch in December 2020, Apple Fitness+ has continuously introduced new features, including diverse classes, a variety of trainers, different sports and physical activities, and now, personalized training plans.

This new feature is likely to be a valuable addition for users seeking a structured training routine but were uncertain about how to monitor it consistently on a day-to-day basis.
