How to clear Google history on mobile

The Internet giant is omnipresent on your mobile and this means that the brand knows more about us than we would like. Every time you do something, the company records it in its different records (because yes, there is not just one, but several) and stores it waiting for you to delete it.

The different types of records

If what you want is for the Internet giant to stop knowing what you are doing, you will have to access the browsing history from Chrome to delete it. It is done this way:

1. Open the Chrome app
2. Click on the 3-dot icon in the upper right corner
3. Select the History menu
4. Click on Clear browsing data
5. Select the time period and choose the one you want
6. Select the files associated with the history
7. At the bottom, tap Delete

By doing so, you will end all the web sites that you have visited in the marked period, direct access to those web pages will be eliminated and suggestions about them will not be shown when typing on the search field of the search engine, forgive the redundancy.

Clear location history

You have already seen that the company not only knows where you navigate , but also where you walk, what places you visit, and where in the world you are at every hour. Of course, this is a huge intrusion on users’ privacy, but luckily, it’s something you can also override by doing this:

1. Open the Google app on your mobile
2. Click on your profile icon, top right
3. Click where it says ‘Google Account’
4. Go to Privacy and personalization
5. Scroll down to the History Settings section
6. Go to Location History
7. Select Deactivate

If you wish, and you want to avoid confusing routes, there is another way to deactivate this data recording that Google carries out on our activity . Simply, you must access the link that we leave you just below these lines to get to the same place. Sign in with your Gmail account credentials and turn off location history.

Clear voice recording history

Clear YouTube history

Lastly, we have your YouTube search history . The application not only stores the videos you watch, but all the content you search for in the multimedia application. In the same way that we have done previously, we can delete this information from the mobile. Do it like this:

1. Open the Google app on your mobile
2. Click on your profile icon, top right
3. Click where it says ‘Google Account’
4. Go to Privacy and personalization
5. Scroll down to the History Settings section
6. Go to YouTube History
7. Select Deactivate
8. Remember to uncheck the box next to ‘Include voice and audio activity’

Delete all activity in one click

As you will see, the company knows a lot, too much about you . If you’re fed up and want to end this tracking once and for all and end all records, you can radically do so from the My Activity page.

When you enter it you will find yourself, when you log in with your Gmail credentials, with the possibility of ending all your search history in a massive way in all the manufacturer’s services.

From this website, tap the three-line menu in the top left corner and select ‘Delete activity by’. Now simply choose ‘Forever’ if you want to wipe out all the browsing data the company has on you.

Stop Google from tracking you

If you don’t want to have to repeat these steps every two to three, you have the possibility to disable Google’s data history from the same routes that we have provided previously. Instead of selecting the option to Clear history, you just have to deactivate it by clicking on the corresponding button.
