If you are tired of receiving unwanted calls, both iOS and Android give you the option to block incoming calls , generally or individually.
You can choose to block all kinds of calls, without distinction, to have a quiet time, whether for relaxation or for work reasons, or you can block contacts and numbers individually so that a certain individual or organization stops bothering you.
Block all calls
If for whatever reason you need to block all calls, there are different ways to do it if you have an Android phone or an iPhone.
On Android
The easiest thing in this case is to open the Phone app and click on the button identified with 3 dots in the upper right corner to access the call settings. Choose the SIM card slot you have active and select the Call restriction option. Once inside you simply have to check the option of All incoming calls .
On iOS
To block all incoming calls on the iPhone we must use the Do Not Disturb Mode of iOS.
This mode has certain customizations that allow you to activate it manually or schedule it at a certain time, but at the level of incoming calls, what interests us is that we can allow calls from certain groups of people, from the Allow calls from menu.
It is also possible to enable calls from those contacts who call repeatedly in a few minutes, enabling the Repeated calls option. .
Block numbers individually
On Android
To prevent a specific person from calling you, you can access the phonebook and add it to the curet list, which is commonly known as completely blocking it from being able to call you.
On Android or any customization layer based on the Google operating system, open the phone app and scroll to the contacts screen. Here click on the name for a few seconds and select Settings. Inside, click on the three-dot icon or in the “More Settings” section to choose Add to blacklist or block contact.
You can also do it with unsaved numbers following the same route from the call history. Long press on the specific number and add it to the blacklist directly.
On iPhone
The thing is not too different on iPhone and to block a specific number you simply have to access the settings of that contact. By doing so you will stop receiving, not only calls from your number but also SMS or messages by messaging apps that use your calendar to synchronize contacts.
Access the iOS Contacts app, select the one you want to block and tap on the contact information of the number you want to block. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select the Block this contact option. Confirm the message that appears on the screen and you’re done.
The Robinson List
Lista Robinson’s service is quite unknown in Spain, but it is really useful. It is a database in which you can sign up to avoid, for free, advertising spam calls from companies that you have not given your consent to be harassed with untimely calls.
You simply have to sign up for this list and indicate that you do not want to receive advertising calls (or SMS or whatever you want)
