What the guarantee says about it

Older iPad
If you have an iPad that is not in this list, it is already considered an obsolete equipment by Apple and therefore will not carry out any type of repairs. What the company offers in this case is a recycling service, although they will not pay you anything for your device. Perhaps in other unauthorized establishments you can carry out the repair of this device, since in the end you will not lose the warranty because it is already completely out of date or find the possibility of officially repairing any component.
How to request repair at Apple
If you have downloaded the Technical Support app, you can access the repair from it, going to the corresponding technical support tab and following the necessary steps to request an appointment at an Apple Store or request a pick-up at your home, in which case you will have to pay Additional 12.10 euros for shipping costs.
If you prefer, you can go to the Apple technical support website to start the process in a similar way as in the application. In any case you can also request the repair by phone or by going in person to an Apple Store and requesting an appointment, since in most cases there are usually no free spaces for that same day.
Other unauthorized stores and services
There are other establishments authorized by Apple, called SAT, along with Premium Resellers. In all these places they can change the iPad screen with original parts and maybe with different prices, although on average they are usually around the same figures as in an Apple Store.
There are also other technology specialty stores that offer repair services including iPad screens. You can request on these sites all the information you want about the prices and terms of the repair, as well as the quality of the spare parts. There are occasions when the pieces, despite not being original, can be of quality but this also implies a higher cost.
Then there are the smaller stores belonging to small business owners, which can offer very cheap repair services. These places can also be valid for a repair, although you will have to take into account that the quality of the screen will be very far from what they can offer you in other stores and from the original Apple parts.
Is the repair worth it?
You may be surprised that the price of the screen is too high for your pocket. These materials are probably the most costly of all repairs. However, there are times when it may be more than considerable to go to repair if you use the device frequently and it is not used much. However, it may be the case that your iPad is already something old, although it is not considered obsolete. In these cases you may be more interested in paying a somewhat higher amount and purchasing a completely new device.
