The phones of the Chinese brand are receiving interesting updates in recent weeks, not in vain its Realme UI layer still has a lot of room for improvement, which gives for quite a few new features. One of them is the Always On Mode , which we have started to see in Realme phones very recently, that’s how it works and that’s how it is activated.
The Always On modes are far from new, but they have become a welcome feature among the many users who still cannot enjoy it on their mobiles for whatever reason. If this is your case with a Realme mobile, now you will finally be able to enjoy it.
How does this new mode work?
As we said, they are nothing new, but as usual each manufacturer makes its own interpretation of this way. And the truth is that Realme has done quite well, since it offers us the possibility of fully customizing this section of our phone. For this, the functionality has been added to the screen settings, from where we can edit what the contents are in this way. On the one hand, we have a traditional Always On mode , in which the time and other aspects of the phone are shown with a white color, such as notifications.
And there is another way that seems quite successful to us, and that is the one that allows you to display a personalized message when the phone is locked. The content can of course be edited, in addition to the font and color. In this last section there are many possibilities, from flat colors to gradients that suit you very well. We can choose different aspects to show a personal design. In the latter case, if we choose one of these messages, it will appear permanently on the screen, but it will move around so as not to burn the screen. Because let’s remember that these modes are more efficient if it is an OLED or AMOLED panel .
How to activate this new mode?
As we say it is a new screen mode that has been sneaked into the latest Realme UI updates . Therefore we recommend that you check before we have the latest firmware version of our phone installed. If so, we must do the following:
- Enter the settings of your Realme
- Access “Screen and brightness”
- Click on “Always on Screen”
Now with the functionality activated, you just have to choose the contents. We can choose to display:
- Clock
- Date
- Battery
- Notifications
Or deactivate all these contents and activate the “Mantra” function at the bottom that allows us to display a message on the screen permanently. You just have to click on this function to see a preview to be able to edit the text that will appear, the color, flat or gradient, the alignment of the text, the font type, and its size.
