How to Hang up Calls with the Power Button on Android and iPhone

Depending on the use we make of the mobile phone, we may receive dozens of calls every day, including those from work, friends or family and even commercial calls from operators or other companies. Being able to reject calls is a very useful function, which can be done much faster if we use the power button on our mobile.

Hang up Calls with the Power Button

There are many reasons why you need to reject a call, but the important thing is that there are methods to do it faster. The most common requires touching the button on the touch screen in red. In some models you just have to touch, but in others you have to slide. This method is effective, but it can be less accurate at times. For this reason, doing it with the power button saves time and ensures the precision necessary to have the peace of mind that we really have hung up the call.

The method on Android

Android has that option and is available on all mobiles with this operating system. The objective is the same, that is, we can end a call by pressing the power button on our device. This method is valid when we are in full call. However, when what happens is that we receive a call and we want to reject it without going off-hook, the function will also be valid, but in some mobiles we will have to press twice in a row to end the call.

Accesibilidad en Android

To activate the function we will have to go to the accessibility settings of our mobile , which is found within the settings menu. Once inside, we will see an option or switch called “The power button hangs” . From that moment, we can hang up the calls or reject the incoming calls as we have previously detailed. To reverse the change, just follow the same steps and deactivate the function.

And on iPhone?

Apple also offers a similar feature, though not with the same options as Android. For iPhones, Apple allows you to reject incoming calls before taking the call without touching the screen. To do this, if the iPhone is locked, we will have to press the side button or the activation / sleep button (depending on the model) twice quickly. In this way we will reject the call. However, to be able to hang up in full call we will have to press the red button on the screen, dedicated for this function. If we are in full call and double-click, we will not hang up, but rather that Wallet will be activated to pay or board.
