New technologies offer us these possibilities and now thanks to Google Maps, we can now see if those stores are open or not.
At this point, the most normal thing is that we look for any type of store around us and thanks to the intuitive, simple and clear interface offered by the Google location app with which we can check if any store or supermarket that we have around us is open on this holiday.

It will be common for the search that you are about to carry out to be given during a holiday, just at the moment in which we want to go to that store, which is why the easiest thing we can do is a simple search in our mobile phone on Google Maps.
If what we want to look for is a supermarket, by typing that same word , we can see what is open in our position, while if we want a store, however specific it may be or if what we know is its name, typing the same , it will be more than enough for Google to do its thing.
Once we search, we will get the map with the different stores that we have around us and if we access the panel where we find the scroll with all the nearby stores, we will see a sign that will indicate whether it is open now or not and the time it will close.
Get ahead of the festive
Google Maps also gives us the possibility of anticipating the different holidays that occur on the calendar and being able to see if that day that we do not want to leave home in vain, we can find the store we want to go to open or not. For this reason, we will have to delve a little deeper into the Google Maps configuration and from here, be able to see if it is open or not.
To do this, we will have to follow the following steps:
- Carry out the search as we have done previously with total normality
- Look at the top left for the option to filter the search you want to perform.
- Within the options that it leaves us, we will have the opportunity to select the day and time that we want (the holiday in question).
After this, the schedule with which this store opens or not on the holiday will appear, so our doubt will have been left much sooner than we could imagine and we will not make trips in vain, at least… for now.
Be careful with the schedules
Despite the fact that the users and the community that has been created around Google Maps usually help a lot in terms of schedules so that they are as correct and complete as possible, it may also be the case that they are wrong .
This is something normal, especially when it comes to businesses that are not updated or that their local file is not completely complete. For this reason, so that it doesn’t happen again, not to you, but to other people who may come later, Google recommends a button within the tab itself called ‘Suggest a change’ . With it we can indicate an error, such as in the schedule or in any other aspect of the store, so it will be of great use for people who come later.
