Over time, especially those of us who have been playing since before 2010, it is very likely that we have been collecting a large number of games in physical format. These games, which have given us hours of fun, now occupy a space on the shelf, or in a storage room. Probably due to compatibility problems with current operating systems or because our PC does not have a CD reader. A pity that these games that have given us so many hours are falling into oblivion. Luckily, thanks to FX’s 20th Anniversary Upgrade initiative we will be able to give them a second life.
FX Interactive is an independent Spanish publisher founded in 1999. Since then, this company has brought to our country more than 180 PC games at very low prices. Many of them have even been given away with the newspaper. Additionally, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has been giving away games every week to entice players to stay home playing.

Free games in digital format
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of FX, the company has launched a new initiative through which it will allow all owners of original games to convert them to digital format, and also completely free of charge. In addition, we will always receive the most complete version of the game, with the corresponding expansions. That is, if we have the Imperivm, we will receive the Imperivm Anthology . And we’ll even have access to HD remastered versions of our favorite games. If a new remastered version is released later, or a new digital game that we have physically, we can request it again, even if we have previously requested the upgrade.
If we have any of the 180 FX games in our possession, we can request the exchange for a digital game. If the title is in the store, we will automatically receive the most complete version of it. If it is not in digital format, we can ask to change it for the game we want, as long as it has a similar theme. For example, if we send a photo of the Avencast, which is not available, we can request the game that we want, such as the Drakensang Anthology .
Here we can see a list of all the games that are available, as well as the games, and remasters, that they are working on and that will arrive very soon.
How to order the game in digital format
All we have to do is take our original games and take a photo showing the box, the game CD or DVD and the manual. We must send this photo to the company’s customer service, or directly by mail to sacfx [at] fxinteractive.com. If the box or manual is damaged, we don’t have to worry, they understand.
In a few days we will receive the corresponding activation code by mail. We can activate this code within the FX app, or from its website, to add the game to our digital library. Once added, we can download it without any DRM to play it whenever we want.
