There are several circumstances that can get us out of our boxes. One of them is having to lower with a mobile with the brightness so low that it causes us a headache by continually having to force our eyes. Most likely, this problem is related to the configuration of your device.
Luckily, it is a problem that, if it is not related to the hardware of the computer (that is, the screen is broken), has a fairly simple solution. Let’s go through all of them.
Do you have the automatic brightness set?
If your phone’s screen is too dim to be comfortably consulted when you’re in a dark room, the first thing to check is whether you have auto brightness set. If so and keep seeing the screen too dark … does it mean that the automatic brightness control is broken?
Readjust brightness levels
No, it is simply out of control due to some temporary mismatch in the phone’s light sensor . Fortunately, you can recalibrate your phone’s sensors so that the screen lights up and dims properly. To return the configuration to its initial state you have to deactivate the automatic brightness in the Display configuration. Then, go into a room with no lighting and drag the adjustment slider to make the screen as dark as possible. Then activate the automatic brightness and when you return to a better lit place the phone should adjust itself.
If not, follow the exact opposite procedure in bright light, raising the brightness to its maximum level with the auto-brightness turned off and then back on again.
Has the mobile suffered a blow?
If after doing this the problem persists, first check if the smartphone may have suffered a blow that has damaged the ambient light sensors located on the top of the device. If the screen has also been hit, it could be the source of the failure and you would have to send the mobile for repair.
Battery setup, the key
However, before sending the smartphone to technical support, it is most likely that there is a power setting on the mobile that is altering all the brightness settings of the smartphone.
Adapting to ambient light or the automatic brightness of the mobile that adjusts the intensity of the screen based on the surrounding light is a great feature, but it can affect the life of the phone’s battery. For this reason, we must control the established battery setting since if we have it in automatic mode, it is likely that reaching a certain battery percentage will prevent the brightness of the screen from being raised.
Access the Battery Settings on your mobile and check that the decrease in screen brightness is not configured in certain scenarios, preventing a correct display of the display.
Factory restore
The solution to turn to when all else fails. This arrangement allows the mobile to be returned to its initial state, as it was when we took it out of the box for the first time, which is why you must first make a backup copy, since all data will be deleted.
To erase all data from the mobile in order to fix the low brightness of the screen we have to go to Settings> System> Reset and there, choose “Factory data reset”.
