Fix the Crashes of the iPhone 12 with the Update to iOS 14.2.1

The new iPhon e that have just landed on the market are not without flaws. These days we have echoed the appearance of the dreaded green screen in some models of the brand, in addition to seeing how other users have complained about the appearance of errors with the MMS, the lock screen and with the sound of the device.

While the failure with the iPhone 12 screen and its green hue is yet to be analyzed by those in Cupertino, the rest of the errors seem to have their origin in the software, which makes them much easier to solve. In fact, the brand has launched an iOS update that is intended for the iPhone 12 and eliminate the failures mentioned by the first buyers of the phones.

Update to iOS 14.2.1

Apple has released in the last few hours a new version of iOS 14.2 , apparently aimed at iPhone 12 series devices that have not yet downloaded the operating system update. This build 18B111 seems to have some more mature revisions than build 18B92 that came out on November 5 for supported smartphones and is 100% dedicated for the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max .

Some users had complained that they will not receive multimedia messages, if someone is still using them, and that the audio from the phone was not heard correctly with headphones. In the same way, the first buyers of the smallest in the family complained that the lock screen does not work well.

According to the brand itself, iOS 14.2.1 fixes these iPhone problems . Here is your changelog:

  • Some MMS messages were not being received.
  • There were sound quality issues when using “Made for iPhone” headphones to listen to iPhone audio.
  • The locked screen stopped responding on the iPhone 12 mini.

In this way, this resolution of problems joins the novelties introduced with iOS 14.2 that was launched at the beginning of this month that include new emoji (more than 100, including animals, food, faces, household objects, musical instruments and emojis inclusive, among others), updated icons, people detection in the Magnifier tool, optimized AirPods loading, and an option to run Shazam in Control Center. It also has eight new wallpapers with versions for the light mode and for the dark mode.

You can find the update from the system settings of the Settings app on your iPhone.
