We hadn’t had any news about House of Dragon , the highly anticipated spin-off of Game of Thrones for a long time, but it seems that the streak is finally going to change. The HBO series’ own Twitter account has shared the first two (conceptual) images of the new production, thus helping to fuel the hype a bit. Do you think if we take a look at them?
House of Dragon, more Game of Thrones for fans
As much as a good part of the fans disappointed him with the end of Game of Thrones , surely we all, absolutely all, agree on the same thing: we really miss seeing the stories created by George RR Martin on screen. Luckily, we will be able to satisfy that monkey in a while and, as HBO itself confirmed at the time, we will soon have a spin-off in its catalog with which we can enjoy the magic of Westeros again.

The name of the new great fiction will be House of Dragon and its events will take place 150 years before all that we have enjoyed for seven seasons with the television adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire , focusing, of course, on the great lineage of the ethereals Targaryen. There is also a book to lean on to tell us this new story: Fire and Blood , published by Martin just 2 years ago, in 2018.
In addition to knowing the origin of the plot (or at least getting a good idea of what we can see), we also know that the casting has already been done and that a good part of the cast should already be chosen, taking into account that it will start shooting soon. This data (although obvious) we have known from official hands just a few hours ago, also accompanied by his first two “official images”.
Dragons, many dragons, by 2022
It has been the official Game of Thrones Twitter account itself that has delighted us with fresh information about its spin-off. First by revealing that the production of House of Dragon will begin in 2021, which inevitably places the premiere of the series in 2022 . It had been speculated that by the end of next year we would already have the title at our fingertips in the HBO catalog, however, given the complexity that the project and its filming are sure to have, we will have to wait patiently for a premiere later.
In addition to telling us this, the account has shared two official images. These are conceptual creations that help us make one thing clear: we are going to see a lot of dragons in the series. In them you can see two reddish creatures, quite imposing, that we will surely see walking through the skies in the different episodes of the TV series.
We leave you below with the two creations for your delight. Is anyone else looking forward to enjoying the Targaryen bloodline in all its glory?
