Find your cat easily with Tile for Cats, the pet locator

Tile, a company that produces locatable keychains, has been a lifesaver for many users who frequently lose their keys. By simply attaching the Tile keychain to their keys, they are able to find them with ease. Now, Tile has taken their product a step further by introducing a model that can locate your cat. This new functionality is both innovative and useful for pet owners who often have trouble finding their cats when they are hiding or have wandered off.

How to find your cat when it hides

Tile’s new cat locator works by attaching a small locator device to your cat’s collar, allowing you to track your pet’s location at all times. Using Bluetooth connectivity and the official Tile app, you can identify the distance between the device and your phone, allowing you to get closer and closer to your cat until you find it. If your cat is out of sight, simply activate the alarm through the app to locate it with ease. The device has a maximum range of approximately 76 meters, but this may be affected by obstacles and walls between the device and your phone.

The Tile for Cats is essentially a Tile Sticker with an additional casing that can be conveniently attached to a cat leash (not included). Although the tracker can be used for any type of pet, it has gained popularity among cat owners.

Interestingly, the locator can be integrated with popular voice assistants such as Siri, Alexa, or Google Assistant, allowing users to simply ask “where is the cat?” and trigger the Tile’s alarm immediately, adding to the convenience of home automation.

Are there differences with the Apple Airtag?

Apple‘s Airtags offer superior technology compared to Tile’s locators, making them a bit more expensive. With ultra-broadband technology, the phone can accurately pinpoint the exact location of the locator, providing precise indications of where to find it.

However, Airtags are exclusive to iOS and cannot be used on Android. Additionally, the cost of purchasing an appropriate casing to attach the Airtag to your pet adds to the total cost.

What price is it?

The Tile for cats has a price tag of $39.99 and is not yet available in Spain, but will be soon, although the exact price has not been announced. If you enjoy spoiling your pet on special occasions, this is the perfect excuse to spend money on them once again.
