Basically it allows us to go from a predetermined level, in which Windows Defender is, to choose a high security level or the maximum level option, which is the one that most protects our system.
We can easily go from one to the other just by clicking on the name. We will see that the values that appear below change according to the level we choose. Of course, as we can also change some value manually. To do this we just have to click on one of the ones that interest us and a menu will be displayed with the different options. We can choose the one that interests us.
In summary, we can say that the default level maintains the Windows Defender settings as they are before using this application. If at some point we decide to configure some parameters but we want to return to the way it was before, we will only have to press default.
