EA Play for Xbox Game Pass for PC Delayed to 2021

EA Play for Xbox Game Pass

If you were one of those who planned to spend the holidays enjoying the Xbox Game Pass catalog and everything that EA Play offers , we have bad news . Microsoft needs time to achieve the user experience it wants, so the Electronic Arts service will have to wait for its integration with the Redmond proposal.

No EA Play on Xbox Game Pass until 2021

Last November Microsoft announced that EA Play would join its more than 60 titles to the existing catalog already on Xbox Game Pass for PC. A news that made many users happy because it is not just any catalog that Electrónic Arts offers, there are very striking titles such as Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order among many others.

However today we bring bad news. If we were all waiting for EA Play to join Xbox Game Pass for PC this December, now we have to say that it will not happen. The company has published a note where they explain that the user experience is not yet at the level they are looking for. Therefore, we will have to arm ourselves with patience and wait until 2021 . The problem is that they have not given a specific date of when it will be.

When we originally set out to write this blog post, which would announce the availability of EA Play on PC with Xbox Game Pass, it looked a bit different. Unfortunately, what had been a celebratory post is now one that calls for a little more patience – we made the decision to delay the release of EA Play on PC until 2021 as part of Xbox Game Pass PC and Ultimate memberships.

We established this partnership with Electronic Arts because they are as passionate as we are about helping people and communities discover great games, and we knew we could bring a great experience to members by working together. To meet that, we need more time to deliver the Xbox Game Pass experience.

We will have more to share early next year; As always, we appreciate your support as we work to bring this experience to our Xbox Game Pass members. Stay tuned for more information.

With that statement is how they released this news that if you play on PC and were waiting for the arrival of EA Play, it sure has left you a bit down. Because now that a somewhat unusual Christmas was approaching, it would have been great to have the EA Play catalog integrated into Xbox Game Pass.

However, as they themselves say, we will have to be patient and wait until early 2021 to find out more about the arrival and we will see if they explain or not what has happened so that at the last minute what many of us eagerly expected does not occur.

EA Play Pro

EA Play

By way of consolation, if you want you can access EA Play through its standard and Pro versions. Both give you access to all that catalog and the truth is that the prices are not bad either, especially if you are not too addicted. Because EA Play for 3.99 euros per month allows you to play for up to 10 hours. But if you don’t want limitations, for 14.99 euros you have everything in EA Play Pro.

So you know, for leisure options it is clear that it will not be. The same is not what you had in mind, but a bad one is a good temporary solution quite managed for you to have something to play this Christmas.
