Netflix acknowledges the challenges users face when selecting a movie or series, especially when multiple people are involved in the decision-making process. To address this, they have introduced a solution called “My Netflix,” a new section on the streaming platform designed to simplify the content selection process.
Many of us have experienced the frustration of endlessly browsing through Netflix, struggling to find something that suits our tastes or to agree on a movie or series to watch with our partners. However, with the introduction of “My Netflix,” these concerns may become a thing of the past.

This new section offers a centralized and personalized approach, making it easier than ever to choose what you want to watch. By providing tailored recommendations, “My Netflix” aims to enhance the overall user experience, ensuring that everyone can find content that appeals to their individual preferences and interests.
The new section of the platform
This time, the new feature we’re discussing is not a web version section. It’s worth noting that currently, this addition to the streaming platform is exclusively available on iOS and Android devices. Therefore, to access it, you’ll need the Netflix app installed on a device running either of these operating systems.
For those who already have access to “My Netflix,” you may have noticed a change in the bottom bar tabs of the app. The “Downloads” tab has been replaced, and now, within this new section, you can find your downloads, favorited series or movies, and content saved in “My List.” Additionally, you can quickly access trailers you’ve watched, scheduled reminders, and titles you’ve been viewing.

A crucial aspect of this Netflix update is that it consolidates all these features under one tab. So, when you’re away from home and want to check your saved or downloaded content, a simple tap on “My Netflix” within the app on your smartphone will suffice.
To ensure that this section offers personalized content tailored to your tastes, you need to actively interact with Netflix. How? By indicating your preferences with a simple thumbs-up (“I like”) on movies, series, documentaries, and programs. The more you do this, the more related content will appear within the new section. Otherwise, it won’t be as useful to you.
Downloads don’t disappear
If you’re concerned about your downloads disappearing, there’s good news – they will now be part of the “My Netflix” section. So, you can relax knowing that all your downloaded content will still be easily accessible without any issues.
It’s worth noting that this update has been rolled out to iOS users first, though not in a widespread manner. The release will happen progressively, meaning that Android users will have to wait until the beginning of August before they can experience this new section in the app. Rest assured, the feature will eventually be available to all users on both platforms.
