If you think that Disney+ is your children’s platform to watch cartoons and movies, you are wrong. Not only is it not for children, but you will enjoy some of the best animation series for adults, not suitable for watching with the little ones in the house.
That cartoons are for children is an outdated statement that has little or nothing to do with reality. There are many recommended animation series for adults today and some of them have been with us for twenty years, like The Simpsons. Solar Opposites
Solar Opposites is one of the newcomers to Star on Disney+ and still with few episodes if you run away from the 10, 20 or 30 seasons of other animated series for adults on this list. From the creators of Rick and Morty (which will remind us on many occasions), a fun sitcom that also leaves us with all kinds of hilarious and inexplicable moments, gags, satire, swear words, adult humor and not suitable for see with children The protagonists are, as usual, members of a family. But in this case they are aliens. Bob’s Burger
Bob’s Burger may not be as well known in Spain as The Simpsons or Family Guy, but it is one of the great classics of adult animation and it premiered in 2011 on the American Fox network. As its name makes us intuit, it takes us even a hamburger restaurant (next to a crematorium) and the family that runs them : the Belcher family. They are the protagonists of this animated series where the parents (Bob and Linda Belcher) and the children (Tina, Gene and Louise) face everyday situations with intelligent dialogues, with criticism, with satire. For many, one of the best animated series in recent years and on a par with The Simpsons. A delirious and funny series with which we had an excellent time and which, like the others on this list, has episodes of about twenty minutes that allow us to disconnect, make us smile, make us laugh.
Futurama
How many times have you wanted to see Futurama and it wasn’t on any streaming platform? From 2021, thanks to Star on Disney+, the episodes created by Matt Groening in the late 1990s are now available. Futurama is a space series set in the future. The Simpsons was one of the great initial bets of Disney + , one of the reasons why the platform was an excellent idea when it arrived in Spain. And today it continues to be so since we can see all the chapters that we know by heart, all the seasons from the beginning until today. There is little left to say about The Simpsons, a series that arrived in 1989 and that still amuses us today with scenes and dialogues that we know by heart, with more than 700 episodes.
On Disney+ there are several options to watch The Simpsons: You can choose the chapter you want by searching by season (there are 31 in total) and choosing the chapter. But you can also go to “Search” and here open the Simpsons collections where we can find episodes by theme: the collection of Halloween episodes, predictions, travel, rock stars or sports. Family Guy
At the end of the nineties Family Guy arrived, a series in the style of The Simpsons but which opted for a more adult humor, more badass, more black. Black humor, satire and jokes during more than 300 episodes in a series that premiered more than twenty years ago and that we can see again in full on Star on Disney+ (although also on Netflix) Designed as an animated series for adults, it follows the Griffin family: Peter Griffin and his wife Lois along with their three children Meg, Chris and the famous baby Stewie, one of the great jewels of the series. The Cleveland Show
