How to remove data from photos on Android
In order to release all our information from the photographs, we have to follow a process that will depend a lot on the operating system and the personalization layer. Although we are also going to see that there are ways to remove the most relevant data from the photos that may concern us from all mobile phones, such as the place where we took the photo.
Delete location on mobile photos
Regardless of the version of the operating system that we have, the layer of personalization and practicing everything on our mobile, the Google Photos app offers us the possibility of eliminating the location of the chosen photos in a matter of seconds . Therefore, we only have to give you access to our multimedia content in case we did not have the app previously and follow this process:
- Let’s start by going into one of the images.
- We slide our finger up and it will show us all the data.
- Here we can touch on the small button “Remove location”.

For now, only Xiaomi phones with MIUI 12 and Huawei phones with EMUI 11 allow you to delete all the data from the photos before sending them through any messaging service. To use it we just have to do the following.

For those who want to erase all the data from the photos and do not have a mobile with any of the customization layers that already allow it, the option that remains is on the computer. In this case we will have to move the files to the computer and follow this process:
- We right-click on the photo.
- We choose properties.
- Then we choose the Details tab.
- At the end of the whole click on “Remove property and personal information”.
- We choose what we want to delete and accept.
