These features, such as its 90 Hz screen, the brand new MediaTek processor, or its 50 MP main camera, make the phone stand out from the competition. Unfortunately, even today we still have no date for the brand to launch its new phone in Spain.
Redmi mobile features
This new Redmi 10 has an elegant design and a material in its back cover that is soft to the touch and quite similar to what we see in the manufacturer’s top of the range. It is available in 3 colors; Matte Charcoal Gray and Pebble White with a classic smooth fingerprint-proof finish and a lightly textured glossy navy blue. In addition, the entry-level comes with MIUI 12.5 running Android 11 and offers an immersive audio experience with its dual speakers.
Looking at the screen, the phone is one of the few entry-level ranges on the market that comes with a large screen with FHD + resolution, while a 90 Hz refresh rate helps us to enjoy scrolling and sliding without problems in any sector. of the telephone. Here the Xiaomi mobile boasts AdaptiveSync technology, which automatically adjusts the refresh rate to your content, keeping the battery in gear for longer, as it will increase the refresh rates only for those moments when it is really needed. To this must be added that the Redmi 10, on its 6.5 ″ screen, has the 3.0 reading mode to relax your eyes while you keep an eye on your favorite content.
Like all modern mobiles, it has 16 million colors and its touch technology is capacitive.
We are facing one of the first mobiles on the market to reach the stores with the new MediaTek CPU, a 2.0GHz Helio G88 configured with 8 cores and which is accompanied by an ultra-fast GPU (the Arm Mali-G52 MC2) to offer a mobile performance to match, if we do not lose sight of what the device costs.
When it comes to phone memory, we have give and take options as the budget smartphone is on sale in 4GB + 64GB configurations; 4GB + 128GB; 6GB + 128GB. In addition, the phone allows memory expansion via MicroSD.
The Redmi 10’s 50MP ultra-high-resolution main camera captures incredible content with noteworthy detail for a phone that in any of its versions falls below 200 euros. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor, so the phone gives us the freedom to capture different moments in all situations.
The device has, like the rest of the Redmi mobile catalog, with a set of elegant filters to add style to your photos, as well as panoramic selfies ideal for large group photos that put you and all your friends in the photo.
At the video level, nothing out of the ordinary in a smartphone whose price is around 100 euros: recording clips in 1080p at 30 fps with either of the two cameras, rear or front.
The selfie camera has an 8 MP sensor and is housed in a small hole at the top of the phone.
One of the hallmarks of the brand’s cheap smartphones is still present in the new mobile of the Chinese manufacturer. We are referring of course to a huge 5,000 mAh battery, with 18 W fast charging that also has a 22.5 W charger, something quite practical for charging other devices now that many phones are sold without a charger.
It is to be imagined that this capacity will give us an autonomy close to 36 hours but the brand does not make any allusion to the duration of this battery.
There isn’t much to say about the phone’s connectivity options. It has a USB Type C port, a minijack and a fingerprint reader on the side of the mobile so it is very complete in this regard.
Regarding wireless connections, we find compatibility with 4G networks as well as Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and FM Radio. Regarding Wi-Fi we have compatibility with 802.11b (2.4GHz), 802.11g (2.4GHz) and 802.11n (2.4GHz).
Much good and little “objectionable”
The smartphone is put on sale boasting, above all, the screen and cameras. It is difficult to find sensors of the quality of the 50 MP lens in front of the phone’s quad rear camera, much less to find FullHD + panels that pass a refresh rate of 90 Hz. This is offered by the Redmi 10, adding a battery of 5000 mAh and memory options for all tastes.
If there is something to criticize the firm, it is that even at this point we do not know the price of the mobile in Spain or when it will go on sale. And regarding the processor, it is the first mobile that mounts it, so we do not have many references to the behavior of the MediaTek Helio G88.
Price of Redmi 10 and arrival in Spain
The Redmi 10 goes on sale in the Chinese market in three memory variants, with 4 GB + 64 GB, 4 GB + 128 GB and 6 GB + 128 GB. All will be available for purchase through Xiaomi’s official sales channels from August 20. Their prices, in exchange, would be 159 euros, 179 euros and 199 euros respectively, but these are figures that we have yet to confirm when the brand brings this new phone to our country.
At the moment there is no specific date for its debut in national stores.
