Sometimes there are things that seem much simpler than they end up being in the end and one of them has been the possibility of enjoying crossplay in Ovwewatch. Although the game was released by Blizzard about five years ago, it has not been until now that this functionality has started that will allow PC, Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch players to face each other.

Even so, there are some other aspects that would be interesting for you to take into account if you are a regular Overwatch player and want to see your faces with what they play on platforms other than yours. So, if you think so, we start with the two most important aspects and you are surely already wondering: what do you need and how are pairings made.

Regarding the requirements, in addition to the obvious that it is to have the game on the platform where you want to play, the first of all is to also have a Battle.net account . This must be linked to your Xbox, PSN or Nintendo account in order to link you with other players regardless of the platform they are using to play.

Once with your associated account, the other important detail that you should know is how the pairings are made. Here, according to Blizzard, the platform is taken into account first, so that by default PC users will always be grouped with other PC users and never with console users.

The reason for this decision is none other than that it integrates maintaining a competitive balance that could be broken if a user takes advantage of the obvious advantages offered by a keyboard and mouse compared to a traditional gamepad.

However, if you are a PC or console user and want to join others regardless of whether they play with a keyboard and mouse or gamepad, you can do so. Although you should finally know that this crossplay or crossplay  will only be available in the modes that I play that are not competitive
