How SupRemo works and all options
The graphical user interface of SupRemo is very minimalist, we find the configuration and management options just right, to greatly facilitate the use for people who have never used remote control software. As soon as we open it, we will be in the «Connection» section, the program consists of a total of four well differentiated sections:
- Connection : here we will see our ID and password, both to receive support and also to establish a “meeting”, that is, to share a screen only without permissions to remote control users.
- Contacts : in this section we will see the computers registered, whether they are ours, family members, work, etc. It is the list of contacts that we have registered in the free SupRemo platform for the management of contacts, backup copies, etc.
- Tools : this is where we will have all the program’s configuration options.
- License : this is where we must add the paid license if we have purchased it, but this software is free for personal use.
As you can see, in the “Connection” menu we will also see a ” Connect to ” section where we will have to enter the ID of the user we want to control their PC, then it will ask us for the temporary password or the password for unattended access. In the ” Tools / Security ” section we can configure the fixed secondary password for this specific PC and also force to generate a 6-character random key for the temporary key. To register we will only need an email and a password, nothing more, as you can see, there is no data to pay for the license or anything, this is completely free.
Within the administration panel we can create different groups, for example, the family group where to register the different computers of our relatives, and also the group “I” which are our computers, operating systems in virtual machines etc. We can create all the groups we want and add all the SupRemo IDs we need.
Adding a new group is as easy as clicking on “+” and giving it a name, the same if we want to add our teams, we will only have to add the ID and secondary password that we have previously configured on each and every one of the teams. This secondary key will be the one that we will use when connecting through the computer or smartphone. We can also put a description for each PC that we have registered.
The rest of the address book options are related to backups and Uranium Backup, the company’s backup program. We can manage backups, receive notifications of completed backups, etc.
Once we have logged into SupRemo with the account created in USilio, we will be able to see the list of registered equipment. Finally, in “Tools / Update” we can see if there is a new version of this program, and also see the status of the license, if we have bought one.
Once we have seen in detail all the configuration options available in the program, we are going to control a computer remotely with SupRemo, so you can see how simple it is.
Remotely controlling a Windows computer with SupRemo
To access a remote computer we have two options, enter the ID and the temporary 6-character password, or the secondary password that we have configured with the installation of the program. In our case, we have registered the different PCs in the contact management platform, using the secondary password that does not change (or at least, that we have not changed). Therefore, by double clicking on the contact to be controlled, we automatically access the equipment.
The control graphical user interface is very simple, in the upper left we will find the ID and the name of the equipment that we are controlling, in addition, if the SupRemo software is not updated, it will also indicate it with a pop-up window. The remote update is as simple as clicking on “Update Supremo”, we wait approximately 1 minute, and it will be updated, without losing connection with the program.
At the top we have the different additional actions to perform:
- File manager: we open the file manager for the transfer of files and folders
- Chat: we will open the chat to easily talk with the person in front of the remote PC.
- Control: additional control options that we detail below.
- Full screen: use full screen on our PC
- Video: additional video options, which we will detail below.
- Disconnect: we close the remote support session.
If we open the «File manager», we can see our PC on the left, and the computer we are controlling on the right. We can transfer files from local to remote and from remote to local, simply by dragging or clicking on the buttons.
In the “Chat” section a chat window will be opened to write to the remote person, all in a very intuitive way.
In the “Control” section we will have additional options, specifically, we will be able to:

In the «Video» section we can change the following options:

Once we have finished the connection, if we go to “Tools / Reports” we will be able to see this connection that we have just made, the ID to which we have connected, start time, end time and also the duration.
A very interesting feature of SupRemo in its paid version is that we can customize the program when we or our clients install it. If we access the control panel of the main SupRemo website (not the address book), we can perform various actions with our account, such as viewing purchases, activating and viewing licenses, customizing the appearance of SupRemo, modifying data and other purchase options.
If we click on “Customize Supreme” we can add our logo to the program, change the colors and much more. Next, we will download a customized SupRemo .exe file, this executable we can send to our clients so that they can proceed with the installation of the software.
