The mid-range of mobiles is better than ever, because we can access very well-equipped phones with excellent prices. This is the case of the terminals that we compare today, the Samsung Galaxy M11 and OPPO A53 . Two cheap terminals that offer us similar characteristics, so it is best to compare them.
Phones that despite their low price offer us many cameras, large screens and very large batteries, characteristics that are no longer exclusive to larger ranges.
Screen and dimensions
In this section there are two very similar phones, with a screen in the case of the Samsung of 6.4 inches and HD + resolution . In the case of OPPO, it is 6.5 inches with HD + resolution, it has a refresh rate of 90Hz , which differentiates it from its competition, since we are talking about a very cheap phone to have it.
The dimensions of the Samsung are 161.4 x 76.3 x 9mm and it weighs 197 grams. On the other hand, the OPPO A53 has dimensions of 163.9 x 75.1 x 8.4 mm and weighs 186 grams, which is not bad for two phones that have quite large batteries in capacity, which has always been translated into greater size and thickness.
Performance
Two phones with similar performance, since the Samsung has a Snapdragon 450 , while the OPPO has a Snapdragon 460 , somewhat more powerful, but very similar.
The versions we have compared have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage in the Samsung, as well as 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage in the OPPO. In both cases they are expandable by microSD cards. Therefore, in this regard, although there are similarities, the OPPO is clearly ahead, with a more powerful processor and more memory and storage.
Photo camera
There are no major differences here, starting with the number of sensors. The Samsung has a triple camera with 13 megapixel, 2 megapixel depth and 5 megapixel ultra wide-angle sensors. While the OPPO is triple too , with sensors of 13 megapixels, 2 megapixels macro and 2 megapixels deep.
On the front, the Samsung has an 8-megapixel camera and the OPPO a 16-megapixel camera , thus doubling its resolution. Therefore, in this aspect, Samsung has a better rear camera, while OPPO improves on the front.
Battery, connectivity and software
In this section there is a lot of equality, because they are two mobiles that have a 5000mAh battery , of quite a capacity, and that are compatible with fast charging.
15W in the Samsung, and 18W in the OPPO. Both have the fingerprint sensor on the back, as well as a USB type C connector. A point in favor of the OPPO is that it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac connectivity, while that of the Samsung is Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n. The OPPO also has Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity in its favor, compared to the 4.2 of the Samsung.
Price and conclusion
We are facing two mobiles that currently cost the same, 159 euros . For that price they offer us excellent features, but we believe that the best choice between the two is the OPPO A53. And it is for very specific reasons. Since it has a 90Hz screen, a slightly more powerful processor, more RAM, double the storage or a selfie camera with double the resolution. Without a doubt sufficient reasons to opt for it.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy M11 stands out above all in the camera , which has an ultra-wide-angle sensor that the OPPO does not enjoy, which can be very important if you are interested in photography. Therefore, unless the ultra-wide angle is something important to you, the choice of the OPPO at the same price seems quite clear.
