This week he has returned to us the umpteenth new Xiaomi mobile, the Redmi Note 9T. A phone that arrives with good features, although it is increasingly difficult for them to differentiate themselves not only from their competitors, but from simply the other phones of their respective brands. Today we face it with a super seller, the Realme 7 5G .
A Realme mobile that was Amazon’s best seller on Black Friday, so it will be a very tough nut to crack in the coming months, having an opponent with a very consolidated position.
Screen and dimensions
We are facing two terminals with a similar screen, 6.53 inches and Full HD + resolution in the Redmi and 6.5 inches and Full HD + resolution in the Realme , although with a big difference in favor of the latter, 120Hz .
Both have a hole in the corner for the front camera. In terms of dimensions and weight, they are similar, at 161.96 x 77.25 x 9.05mm and 199 grams for the Redmi, as well as 162.2 x 75.1 x 9.1mm and 195 grams for the Realme.
Performance and memory
There is quite a bit of equality here, as the two mount one of the most popular 5G processors in the mid-range, the MediaTek Dimensity 800U .
But there are quite a few differences in memory, because the Redmi has in this case 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Instead the Realme offers more for the same price, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Camera
Here the Realme has more sensors, a total of four , with a main one of 48 megapixels, and accompanied by others of 8 megapixels ultra wide angle, 8 megapixels macro and 2 megapixels deep.
In the case of the Redmi we have one less sensor, being a triple camera , with a 48 megapixel main sensor. It is accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth sensor, as well as another 2-megapixel macro. In front, the selfie camera of the Redmi is 13 megapixels, while that of the Realme is 16 megapixels.
Battery, connectivity and software
In this aspect we have two very similar mobiles. Both have a 5000mAh battery , although in the case of the Realme the charge is much faster, 30W , for the 18W of the Redmi.
The two have Android 10 under the MIUI and Realme UI layers respectively. Both have NFC for mobile payments, as well as a USB Type-C connector. Both have the fingerprint reader located on the side, on the power button.
Price and conclusion
Currently we can find the Redmi Note 9T for 249 euros , while the Realme 7 5G costs 279 euros . A difference of 30 euros that is very worth paying for the Realme, since the differences are important in favor of it, which surpasses the Redmi in practically all aspects.
With a 120Hz screen , more RAM, twice the storage, one more sensor in your camera, or a charge almost twice as fast. Therefore there is not much discussion when choosing which is a better purchase, because although the Redmi is a very good mobile, the Realme certainly surpasses it in each of its aspects. Of course, if you want to invest those 30 euros in something else, the Redmi is still an excellent purchase.
