Today we look at two mobiles that are present in the best-prepared mid-range, the one that despite offering excellent features can still afford to have a very tight price. This is the case of the Realme 6s that has just been presented and that arrives these days in stores, and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro , two excellent mobiles at similar prices.
We are facing two terminals that have almost everything, some features to spare for everyday life, quad cameras, large screens and large batteries. So we try to get an idea of which of the two can be a better buy right now.
Screen and dimensions
In this section we have similar sizes, with 6.5 inches for the Realme, and with Full HD + resolution and with a hole in the upper corner for the front camera. One of the points in favor of its screen is the refresh rate of 90Hz , something unusual in this range.
In the case of the Xiaomi we have 6.53 inches with Full HD + resolution , although in this case with a notch in the form of a drop of water. The dimensions of the Realme are 162.1 x 74.8 x 8.9 mm and it has a weight of 191 grams, while the Redmi is somewhat more compact, with 161.4 x 76.4 x 8.8 mm and somewhat heavier, with 200 grams.
performance
In this section we find the same processor, the MediaTek Helio G90T , a high-flying processor within the mid-range, and which has excellent performance, even with demanding games, so both are superfluous in this regard.
In the case of the Realme we have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable through microSD cards. While in the case of the Xiaomi we have more RAM for practically the same price, 6GB and 64GB of expandable internal storage through microSD cards.
Photo camera
Here are two quad cameras, both with the same sensor setup, albeit with different resolutions . The Realme 6s has a 48-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, 2-megapixel macro, and 2-megapixel depth.
In the case of the Redmi Note 8 Pro we have a main sensor of higher resolution, with 64 megapixels , while the others are similar to its opponent, with one of 8 megapixels ultra wide angle, 2 megapixels macro and 2 megapixels deep. In front, the Realme has a 16-megapixel sensor , and the Redmi has a 20-megapixel sensor .
Battery, connectivity and software
In this aspect there is enough equality in terms of capacity, with 4300mAh in the Realme and 4500mAh in the Xiaomi , although it is the first one that has a more powerful fast charge. This is 30W, while on the Redmi it is 18W. Both have bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C connector, as well as NFC connectivity.
Regarding the fingerprint reader, the Realme has it on the power button on the side, and the Xiaomi behind. The first comes with the Realme UI based on Android 10, while the Xiaomi already has this latest version of the operating system with MIUI 11 .
Price and conclusion
The truth is that we are facing two even mobile phones even in the price. Go ahead that we think are two exceptional phones and a great choice whatever you decide. But there are some details that we find more interesting in the Realme 6s.
As is the 90Hz screen , the hole in the screen, the battery with a faster fast charge , and that is a phone that is now in pre-sale for 199 euros , cheaper than the Redmi, and therefore a phone that from You now have two years of system updates.
For its part, the Xiaomi we are finding it in a price range of between 200 and 220 euros , very similar. From this we like a slightly larger screen , as well as a somewhat more capable battery and a camera with a higher resolution main sensor.
The reality is that if we look at features that are not common in a mobile of this price, we lean towards the Realme as the best purchase, without detracting from the Xiaomi which is undoubtedly one of the great super sales on the market.
