But if there is something that the range was missing, it was an intelligent model, now we can finally say that that day has arrived: this is the new G-SQUAD PRO GSW-H1000 .
A robust and smart watch
This is not the first watch with Casio’s Wear OS, however, it is the first model with Google’s operating system that belongs to the G-Shock family. And this means that we will enjoy a quite striking watch, since its body offers a design specially designed to withstand shocks and inclement weather.
That is basically the main peculiarity of these models, since they are intended for users who practice outdoor sports and all kinds of adventures. So, what better way to build an intelligent platform with which to offer even more?
With that idea, Casio has decided to include Wear OS as an operating system, thus being able to enjoy the Google Assistant, call management, maps, Google Fit and the possibility of downloading more applications through the Play Store.
Features for almost everything
This GSW-H1000 has built-in GPS , so you don’t need to be linked to your phone to do the complete route of your walks. Walks, by the way, that will not be limited to races or routes on foot, since it will also count rowing activities such as kayaking, canoeing, surfing and paddle surfing.
In total, it will control a total of 15 activities and 24 indoor exercises, accompanying the data as it could not be otherwise from a heart rate sensor integrated in the lower part. This lower area of the watch has a titanium top, which shows the excellent materials with which it is constructed.
A double screen to save battery
Something quite striking about this watch is that it has a double screen with which to take care of energy consumption. We know very well that smartwatch screens are the main Achilles heel due to high energy consumption, so Casio has devised a double layer screen that places a monochrome LCD on top of the color LCD to show the current and past time of A look.
Thus, we will not need to turn on the color screen to simply know what time it is, leaving it exclusively for smart functions. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not gone into details about the battery life, so we will have to wait to learn more about it.

At the moment the official price of this watch is a mystery, so if you already saw yourself taking kayak trips enjoying nature without fear of breaking your smartwatch, you better keep waiting a little longer until the manufacturer pronounce on it. Something tells us that it will not be a particularly cheap watch, but we will see how it ends.
