If you are a subscriber, you may notice the absence of popular leagues such as the Premier League, Euroleague, and LaLiga in the coming weeks. This raises the question of what to do during this period when the usual content is not available, particularly if you are not a fan of ongoing events like MotoGP or Formula 1, which do not take a break.
Pause my DAZN subscription
Since the implementation of the 30-day notice period, canceling your subscription to DAZN for the summer is no longer a simple task. Once you cancel your monthly subscription starting from November 3, 2022, you will enter a 30-day notice period during which you can still access DAZN.
If you are planning to go on vacation or if the content you followed the most is not available until August or September, you have the option to pause your subscription and avoid paying for the service during that time.
To pause your account, follow these straightforward steps:
1. Go to the “My account” section on the DAZN website to manage your subscription.
2. Select the “Pause your subscription and stop payments” option.
3. Proceed with the process by entering the reactivation date and confirming your choice.
Please note that this option is only available to users with a monthly subscription. Additionally, it is applicable only for those who have created an online account directly on the DAZN website and make their subscription payments through credit card, PayPal, or a DAZN gift card. If you use any other payment method, pausing your account may not be possible.
Why is it better than canceling?
Pausing your subscription instead of canceling it offers several benefits, starting with the ease of the process itself. When you choose to pause your subscription, it will be temporarily suspended at the end of your current subscription period and will automatically reactivate on a date of your choosing within the next 2 months. During the pause period, you will not have access to DAZN, but you will not be charged the subscription fee either.
You have the flexibility to pause your account multiple times, with each pause lasting a maximum of 2 months. After requesting a pause, a confirmation email will be sent to the provided address. If needed, you can adjust the reactivation date at any time in the “My Account” section, as long as it falls within the 2-month limit.
Furthermore, while your subscription is paused, you still have the option to cancel it. If you decide to cancel while your subscription is paused, your plan will be terminated on the same day without the requirement of a 30-day notice, similar to a direct cancellation. This gives you the freedom to manage your subscription according to your needs and preferences.
