Right now he reveals the first characteristics of the Pixel 6 .
The company launched a few hours ago an update to the Camera application of its Pixel series, and in it some interesting facts about the company’s future phones have been discovered. When decompiling the APK of the app, a series of lines of code have been found that anticipate possible future functions of the new smartphones of the Pixel family.
The camera code reveals that Google is working on two Pixel models, “Oriole” and “Raven”, the first being the Pixel 6 while the second appears to be the Pixel 5a that is just around the corner.
Renewing the Pixel 6
Along with the codename confirmations, the code retrieved from the latest version of Google Camera reveals that this supposed Pixel 6 will move the front camera from the top left corner to the top center of the screen. At the same time, the perforation diameter of the supposed front camera of the Pixel 6 will also be slightly reduced compared to the current generation of the brand.
This move would return the time and notification indicators to the far left of the screen, swapping the position of the battery indicator. That would then be the home screen of the Pixel 6 and how it would change compared to the current one.
Also, if in the current Pixel 5 the rear camera offers a change between 1080p and 4K video recording, while the only configuration for the front video goes through 1080p / 30 fps recordings; the alleged Pixel 6 will allow recording videos with the front sensor in 4K. Of course, it is unknown if the frame rate of the videos will also improve with this change.
Few new features on the Pixel 5a
Fewer new features are found in the Pixel 5a, whose leaked specifications suggest that we are facing a phone “too” similar to the Pixel 4a that the brand launched a few months ago. In this case the mobile will have the same hole in the screen and the same shape of the rear camera protrusion but the Google Camera application indicates that, as with the next top of the range of the firm, the perforation will be slightly smaller than what you see on other Pixel phones today, with a radius of 55 pixels instead of 65 pixels.
