Blizzard Releases Overwatch 2 Requirements Just Hours Before Launch

Normally, game developers publish the minimum and recommended requirements well in advance. Well, Blizzard has waited a few hours before the launch of Overwatch 2 to publish the requirements. The game launches tomorrow, October 4th, and honestly, the game requirements aren’t that big of a deal.

The new Overwatch 2 is a review of the previous installment and is completely free. Despite being free, we have the Watchpoint Pack which allows us to access premium content. The new installment includes a story mode within the cooperative mode, as well as a new system of talents and levels.

Nor is it asking for great requirements

The second installment of this popular game will not only be released on PC , it will also be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X. Additionally, it will also be available on the Xbox One, PS4 and also the Nintendo Switch. This is possible for Cartoon-type graphics, which are easier to render, so to speak.

Within the requirements, we do not see very high demands either. Processors prior to the first AMD Ryzen can be used without major problems. Regarding the graphics card , the NVIDIA GTX 660 and AMD Radeon HD 7950 are recommended as a minimum, graphics cards that have been on the market for more than 10 years. So it is quite accessible to everyone without the need for major updates.

Perhaps the only striking thing is that at least 6 GB of RAM is required. 10 years ago the usual trend was to build computers with 4 GB of RAM, so someone will have to expand their PC a bit if they want to enjoy this game.
