The firm has been working on artificial intelligence algorithms for years, which allow you to get the best shot while the user forgets completely cumbersome manual adjustments. Today we are going to tell you some tricks of the camera of Huawei phones, which are possible thanks to the AI.
Although Huawei phones have an advanced Professional Mode, the frenetic pace of everyday life makes most users want to just aim and shoot. For this, Artificial Intelligence, which has been purged over the generations, allows to achieve the expected results. We are going to review some of the most interesting tricks that we can perform with the AI camera of our mobile.
Most spectacular selfies
Generally, selfies are edited after the photo, to adjust color parameters or edit some aspects of the image, before being shared on social networks. But if you look closely, Huawei phones have an HDR mode with AI for the front camera. This mode will enhance the tones and give more strength to the background of the image, while respecting the user’s features. The result is a photo or video with a more professional character, which also prevents overexposure.
To enable HDR Mode with AI, we open the camera app and select the Front Camera. Then we select Portrait, Photo or Video. Once done we play on HDR to enable HDR with AI. Then it only remains to frame the lens and press the shutter button to start with the selfie or video.
IA Cinema mode
When it comes to recording video with the main camera, Huawei has an IA Cinema Mode that is activated to select different effects in real time. To do this we just have to start recording video normally and select the movie effect we want to use.
- Background Blur: allows you to record videos with Bokeh effect. That is, we can follow a focused person while the background remains blurred.
- AI Color: when active, the color of the subject we are focusing on remains in color, while the rest of the scene will turn black and white. It works with people, pets and even objects.
- Vintage, Thriller or Fresh: these three filters allow you to play with the hue, saturation and brightness of the videos. We can choose any of them to record clips with artistic effects in real time.
Identify scenes
Thanks to AI, Huawei phones are able to recognize multiple scenes and adjust parameters automatically to achieve the best results. Depending on the model we have, more than 1,500 scenes from 25 different categories can be identified. Once recognized, the mobile automatically alters the colors, brightness and contrast to highlight every detail and produce better shots.
To activate the recognition function of the Master IA Scene , open the Camera, go to Settings and activate Smart Shot. Now the phone will automatically select the best shooting mode and improve the quality of your photos. The device can recognize, among others, pets, cars, flowers, fireworks or old buildings.
