The year 2020 is coming to an end and with it, in addition to a tremendously complicated time, the launches of telephones in the technology sector are concluding. At this point, from El Output we want to take a look back to compile in this article the smartphones that we have liked the most throughout 2020.
Oppo Find X2 Pro
The first model that we want to tell you about is the OPPO Find X2 PRO . This phone, which we already talked about in depth in our video review, has a great elegant design and we really liked it. On the back it incorporates a finish with a texture in the form of waves that provides a pleasant sensation to the touch.
Seeing content on its 6.7 ″ AMOLED screen is a real treat, which is further enhanced by correct colors, a very powerful brightness and a refresh rate of 120 Hz .
Regarding its components, it has the latest on the market: Snapdragon 865, 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage , although this cannot be expanded externally. All this set, supported by a 4,260 mAh battery and a 65 W fast charge , make the performance a real joy.
Regarding the camera system, in its rear part we have 3 elements:
- Angular 48 megapixels.
- 48 megapixel wide angle .
- 13 megapixel telephoto lens with 10x hybrid zoom and 5x optical zoom.
This set left us with a more than correct experience in the photographic section, with good colors, exposure and even the digital macro mode is good. Of course, get ready for a very pronounced module with which it will be practically impossible to handle the phone when it is resting on any surface.
The best
- Elegant and attractive design.
- High quality AMOLED screen and 120 Hz refresh rate.
- 65W fast charge.
Worst
- Camera module too prominent. It can be solved with a cover.
- Accidental touches by curved glass.
- It has no wireless charging.
Realme 7

If you are looking for a phone with a good quality / price ratio, this is the realme 7 . It is a smartphone with more than correct specifications, incorporating the Helio G95 processor , with models with 4 – 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage . This set makes the experience in both simple and more demanding tasks very good and extremely fluid, also thanks to the 90 Hz refresh rate of its screen.
All these components are accompanied by a 5,000 mAh battery and a 30 W fast charge that, together, will allow us to reach the end of the day without any problem.
Regarding the cameras, this one has a module on the back that encompasses its 4 lenses :
- Angular 48 megapixels.
- Wide Angle of 8 megapixels and 119º of vision.
- Macro with which we can get up to 4 centimeters from the object.
- Black and white portrait sensor.
A set of lenses that, despite being a low-end smartphone, will leave us photographs with good colors and a correct white balance. Perhaps the wide angle and the macro sensor lose a little more quality compared to the main one, but it is something common in this type of sensors.
The best
- Price / quality ratio.
- Price.
Worst
- The edge of the panel sticks out too far from the body.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite
Taking into account the number of launches that Xiaomi makes at the end of the year and that most of these are usually tremendously solvent, a model of these could not be missing in the collection of our favorite smartphones.
The chosen one has been in Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite , a phone with a 6.57 ″ AMOLED screen that looks very good. Then we find different alternatives in terms of memories:
- 6 GB RAM + 64 GB ROM
- 6 GB RAM + 128 GB ROM
- 8 GB RAM + 256 GB ROM (available according to markets)
And, all these accompanied by the Snapdragon 765G processor , which has compatibility with 5G networks. The experience of using this phone on a day-to-day basis is outstanding, both in terms of performance and fluency when using it for any task.
We also find a very solvent photographic section, with 4 sensors on its back: a 48 megapixel main lens, an 8 megapixel wide angle, a 2 megapixel depth sensor and a 2 megapixel macro.
In short, with all this set of features, it is practically impossible not to recommend this Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite for those users who want one of the best experiences at the lowest price.
The best
- Price.
- Power for any task.
Worst
- Of its 4 sensors, 3 of them do not stand out too much in quality compared to the main one.
iPhone 12
We are confident that the iPhone 12 will be this year’s best seller for Apple phones. In our video analysis we already told you that we were very pleased that they recovered the design of previous models, something that a large number of users requested.
But, although aesthetically it may resemble previous models, internally it brings the latest of the latest technology. Among all its components we wanted to highlight the A14 Bionic chip , which gives it the same power and, therefore, experience as its older brothers.
Another point where this model has clearly improved is in that of its cameras. We found the same dual camera as in the previous generation, with the 12 megapixel main lens and the 12 megapixel wide angle . But, the sensors of these cameras now allow us to record 4K video up to 60 fps that has Dolby Vision HDR technology . What’s the score? A video of incredible quality and very real colors, far from the feeling of unreality that other smartphones provide.
The best
- Video recording.
- Design.
Worst
- Price.
- A panel that does not reach 90 Hz.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro
The Mate 40 Pro is an almost round product, although with limitations, as we already told you in our video review when it was launched.
It is a smartphone with a voluminous 6.76 ″ OLED screen where we hardly find frames, reaching along the curvature, up to the edge of its sides. So much so that, in certain occasions and uses, it seemed too much curvature. But this is something more anecdotal than problematic in the use of this panel.
As usual in Huawei, they mount their own Kirin 9000 5G processor, which is accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and models with 256 GB or 512 GB of storage . There is little we can say in the performance section that you cannot imagine the best launch of the year from this company. In short, we could say that it can with everything we throw at it.
And, as for the set of cameras, we find a triple set of lenses:
- Angular 50 megapixels.
- 20 megapixel telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.
- 20 megapixel wide angle .
What then is the drawback of this Mate 40 Pro? Well, in case you weren’t aware of current technology, this phone does not have Google services . This means that we will not be able to use apps like Gmail. Google Maps and YouTube, or download apps through Google Play. Although, to alleviate this, Huawei continues to work on its own app store, the App Gallery , which has more and more content.
The best
- Power.
- Design.
- Photographic section.
Worst
- Absence of Google services.
- The edges of the screen are perhaps too curved.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE

The Samsung family has increased the number of launches of its S20 with this Galaxy S20 FE . A smartphone practically identical in design to the S20 “just plain”, but with a slightly larger panel that reaches 6.5 “ and a lower resolution that reaches FullHD + .
Regarding its internal components, this S20 FE incorporates a Snapdragon 865 processor, 6 – 8 GB of RAM and models with 128 – 256 GB of storage . A set that, as usual within this family that Samsung renews every year, gives it a performance that meets any task.
In the photographic section we find a set of 3 cameras on the back:
- Angular 12 megapixels.
- 8 megapixel telephoto with a 3x optical zoom.
- 12 megapixel wide angle .
These cameras leave us very balanced photographs in all points, highlighting a lot during the day. Although, as expected, when the night falls the quality of these accompanies it.
The best
- Very round phone.
- High-quality photos in good light conditions.
Worst
- Price.
These have been our favorite smartphones of this 2020 . We hope some of yours matches our selection and if you were looking for a new phone, we can’t recommend better options than these.
