In the vast majority of desktops that are put into operation on a daily basis, we find an operating system of the importance of Windows 10 . Since its launch in the summer of 2015, the Redmond software has evolved a lot, despite the criticism it has received. Many of these have been due to Windows performance, especially on older or limited computers.
But of course, we must bear in mind that we are dealing with a system that has to adapt at the moment to around 1 billion PCs . All of them different to a greater or lesser extent, with their configurations and components. Achieving a 100% reliable operating system for all this is not an easy task, not even for a giant like Redmond . That is why, among other reasons, why the firm offers us a multitude of functions that allow us to customize and adapt this software to our needs.

Here we find options related to both functionality and the appearance of the interface. That is why many users what they can do is use certain basic functions of Windows in order to improve its performance. It is for all this that in these same lines we are going to show you some of these features integrated into the software that you can easily modify to achieve it.
This is something that may be very useful for those who have somewhat older equipment or internal specifications adjusted for Windows 10.
Remove programs from Windows startup
As we install programs in Windows, some of them configure themselves to start at system startup, and continue to function. They do this in the background, so sometimes we are not even aware of all of it. Therefore we are interested in eliminating these from the beginning, or at least those that do not interest us, which can be many. To do this we go to the Windows Task Manager through Ctrl + Shift + Esc and click on the Start tab. Here we can disable those programs that we do not want to be executed from the beginning in Windows.

Remove transparencies and improve Windows performance
The interface of Windows 10 little by little has improved ostensibly, all this to obtain a more modern appearance, but at the same time more demanding for the computer. Therefore, at this point, we can choose to deactivate the transparencies that we find in many sections of the system. To do this, we open the Settings application and go to the Personalization / Colors section. Here we will see a simple selector that allows us to deactivate the aforementioned transparencies and improve Windows performance .
Improve Windows performance by limiting notifications
A very useful system in certain cases, are the notifications that the system presents us. These refer to both built-in functions and third-party programs, something we want to limit to improve Windows performance. This is something that we achieve again from Settings, an application that we open with Win + I. Next we go to System / Notifications and actions, where we can now eliminate those programs from which we do not want to receive these messages.

Customize power mode
For example, if we are working with a laptop , a very effective as well as simple method of improving Windows performance, we see it on the taskbar. Here we find the battery icon, where we can click to customize the power mode. This way we can improve this performance by moving the scroll bar to the right, but of course, this will negatively affect the autonomy of the equipment.
