Once we run the application we find a minimalist interface in dark blue and black colors. All its functions are completely in English, without the possibility, for the moment that it has an option in Spanish, which can be a small handicap for some users, especially during their first uses.
To begin to do its work, we must select the file that we are going to convert, for this we will click on the “Input” tab, in the upper left, which will allow us to navigate through Windows Explorer until we find the desired file. Later we will use the “Output” button to select the destination folder, where the copy with the new format will be saved.
Once the file is selected, we will go to the right column and click on the “Container” tab. Here we can select the output format to which we want to convert. We will have the following options:
- Video : webm, mp4, mkv, mpg, avi, ogv.
- Audio : mp3, m4a, ogg, flac, wav.
- Image : jpg, png, webp.
The list of compatible formats is not exactly expensive, especially compared to other options on the market, but there are those formats that we usually use more commonly and that will help us to view the file on any device. In the event that we have selected an audio or video file, it will be possible to cut it. To do this we must in the “Cut” tab, select “Yes”. Now we only need to set the start and end time, set in hours, minutes and seconds.
Axiom offers us the possibility to modify the configuration of a video file before its conversion. To do this, we must click on the “Video” tab. From here, we can select aspects such as codec, quality, bit rate, frame rate, vsync, etc. We can also find the “Color” and “Size” tabs. From the color tab we can adjust the RGB, the color space and the range, while from the “Size” tab we can define the scaling, cropping and resolution settings of the videos, ideal for screen conversions big or small. The capabilities of this program do not stop here, but it also allows us to insert some special effects from the Filters tab or add subtitles from the Subtitles tab.

All this based on the fact that it is still a project in alpha phase so it has a lot of growth ahead of it. Perhaps we are missing more options for compatible formats, although there are the most popular ones, as well as a translation of its interface into Spanish so that it can be completely accessible to all users.
