It is a fact that sales of the iPhone, especially those models that are not Pro, are not being as good as the Cupertino-based firm expected, which has led the brand to encourage sales of the iPhone 14 . Lowering your price? Not at all, that’s not Apple style.
Revenues from iPhone sales have fallen by more than 8% in the last quarter of the year, between the month of September and December 31, precisely when the brand tends to sell more mobile phones after the arrival of its new models on the market, such as It happened last year with the iPhone 14 range.

This has meant that the brand has seen how its income has been reduced by 5.5%, which is the lowest figure since 2019. Given these bad figures, the brand has realized that the iPhone 14 model is the that less attracts users, who argue that, to buy this mobile, it is better to buy the iPhone 13 Pro, with superior features.
But the brand has come to the fore to boast of this mobile and say the opposite, that it is worse than the iPhone 13 Pro.
iPhone 14 vs. iPhone 13 Pro
Historically, Apple has given all new iPhones each year one obvious internal change, the A-series chip upgrade. This has been applied to all the firm’s models, from the mini (when it existed) to the Pro Max. The differentiation of the base and Pro models was carried out on the other hand, especially by the characteristics of the camera. However, that changed last year, when the iPhone Pro models were introduced with the new A16 chip, while the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are powered by the same A15 chip used in the previous year’s models.
The iPhone 14 has always been criticized, from the moment it became known, for having the same processor as the iPhone 13, the A15 Bionic from the American firm. However, Apple’s senior director of design says the base model iPhone 14 is more powerful than the iPhone 13 Pro, despite having the same chip.

The brand says that the iPhone 14 is capable of outperforming the previous generation Pro models due to a new internal design. Essentially, due to a new ‘core aluminum’ backbone structure, which makes sure that A15 chip from the phone launched last year isn’t hampered as often and offers superior power.
Standard iPhone 14 models have sustained better performance than last year’s Pro models, despite sharing the same chip, thanks to some internal changes. The iPhone 14 has a central aluminum structure that acts as a backbone. This central structural plane helps dissipate more heat across the surface more consistently and deliver more raw power.
What the firm does not say is that the iPhone 13 Pro has more RAM , which also affects performance, a better-performing camera, and a screen with a higher refresh rate, among other things.
Will these statements improve sales of the iPhone 14 base models ? We highly doubt it.
